The Strafford Police Department is accepting resumes for a full-time police officer. Strafford PD is a proactive department offering many benefits to its employees. With a $60 per/hr. detail rate officers can take advantage of the abundance of available details and overtime. SPD offers Anthem healthcare with the option of dental. A relaxed tattoo policy, and modern outer carriers allow officers to be comfortable and protected while working 10hr shifts. Equipment and patrol vehicles are constantly being updated allowing officers to have advanced technologies out on patrol. Resumes will be accepted through the close of business on April 30, 2024. Candidates must be a U.S citizen, possess a valid driver’s license, be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. The selection process will include a physical agility test followed by an oral interview, polygraph test, background investigation, and medical examination. Candidates who are not currently certified as a police officer must attend and complete the NH Police Standards and Training Academy.
