TEG Federal Credit Union is seeking an organized and self-motivated Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist to join our growing team in Poughkeepsie, NY. As the Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for servicing existing consumer loans and leases, processing loan payments and adjustments, managing loan payoffs, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Loan Servicing Department. If you have experience in a bank or credit union and basic understanding of the loan process, we want to speak with you!

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

• 1-3 years of experience in a bank or credit union
• Knowledge or experience in consumer lending is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn new programs quickly
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Must be able to available to work on a weekend when necessary

What You’ll Do as the Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist (Responsibilities):

• ACH origination, Skip A Pay Set-up, Sub Actions, Payoff Letters, payment reversals, postings, payoffs, and satisfactions
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly file submissions to vendors and internal departments
• Process consumer titles, UCC filings, releases and maintenance using DealerTrack
• Liaise with DMV in filing liens
• Archive and Index DocuSign documents to Synergy and review loan reports
• Assist members with GAP and Debt Protection claims
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Loan Servicing Department
• Assist with maintenance of loan servicing policies, procedures, and manuals
• Provide service to both internal and external members in alignment with the Credit Union’s Service Promises
• Assist in regulatory examinations, internal audits, and quality control processes
• Validate 1098 reporting
• Provide backup and support for credit card servicing and processing

Pay: $20 - $22 / hour, based on experience
