POSITION OVERVIEW
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Transition Coordinator, you will coordinate transition services and instruction to enable students to reach their fullest potential and be able to live, learn and earn in their community as an adult. You will report to the Program Manager and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Work with NHS staff, Clinical staff, Parents/guardians, outside service providers and identified students to:
- Design a realistic discharge plan that is guided by each youth’s wishes, hopes and dreams
- Coordinate your client driven discharge planning process with local OCFS, OMH, and NYSED representatives that supports a client-driven plan which integrates housing, health and medical care, education and employment needs.
- Coordinate a set of vocational and transitional related activities including instruction, community experiences, employment and volunteer experiences, and the acquisition of daily living skills.
- Examine/identify post secondary vocational training options
- Respectfully honor each youth’s feelings about past and current relationships and ensure that when needed individuals will have the opportunity to work on issues of grief, loss and enduring relationships
- Complete a Permanency Pact and identify specific people who agree to offer life long supports (either related or not)
- Develop a Circle of Supportand identify specific people who agree to advocate for and support the student during the transition process
- Promote active involvement of identified students in planning and implementing the transition component of their IEP.
- Coordinate services to ensure that each identified student has an accurate Work Skills Employability Profile and earns a Regents Certificate of Work Readiness upon graduation from the Neil Hellman School
- Coordinate transition portfolios for each identified student.
- Provide 6 months of follow up and maintain post-NHS discharge statistics for each identified student.
- Attend and participate in all treatment reviews, case reviews and CSE meetings for identified student
- Complete all documentation in a thorough and timely manner
Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience working with individuals who demonstrate serious emotional and behavioral challenges.

Appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Professor of Practice, with a multi-year, renewable contract. |
Minimum Qualifications | Applicants must possess an MFA, PhD, or foreign equivalent in Game Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Evidence of effective teaching, and the ability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement. They will demonstrate proficiency in one or more game engines, along with a robust background in project management and production processes within the gaming industry. Additionally, candidates must exhibit a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. For appointment at the rank of Senior Lecturer, candidates must also have attained a significant level of scholarly activity, research output, or individual creative practice. A Professor of Practice has obtained unique professional experience, has distinguished research, and/or has performed at an executive or officer level, and has made a significant impact within the field of games. Job Summary | The Director of Real Estate directs all activities associated with land management/leases; real estate revenue activities; building and land acquisition/sales; building and land appraisals; all Rensselaer property-related tax payments; Rensselaer tax exemption requirements; and special activities, that include leases and subleases of external facilities, fraternity/sorority land/building leases and finances; estate activities and community issues. The Director is responsible for leading real estate and economic development programs to attract diverse and innovative partners to engage on properties owned by the Institution both residential and commercial, inclusive of properties at Rensselaer Technology Park (RTP). This will comprise extensive collaboration with multiple portfolios including the Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation (OSAT), Provost, Student Life, OCEC, and Finance. The Director is responsible to develop programs to attract and maintain tenant occupants of RTP and create a self-funded real estate program. Programs that cultivate community and regional relationships and foster an exchange of ideas between community leaders, industry partners, researchers and students. As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
1:1 Residential Counselor
You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
Document in writing a summary of each shift.
Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
Seek and obtain training in any particular area specific to the youth who requires 1:1care.
Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.

You will must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth.
Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.
Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.

Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.

The Behavioral Health program and the Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a shared role working between our Schenectady NY location and our Rensselaer NY location. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive Psychiatric services to adults and youth who are enrolled in our outpatient clinic program and a 28-person caseload of youth enrolled in our Youth ACT program. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Must be able to seechildren.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric services to youth enrolled in Youth ACT and adults and youth enrolled in our BehavioralHealth Clinic as assigned
- Provide consultation to staff on diagnostic and treatment questions
- Participate in formal and informal training and education to staff
- Prescribe medications, monitor, and review of drug regimen for enrolled individuals
- Participate in quality assurance activities, consult with the Youth ACT Team in developing and reviewing service plans for all Youth ACT enrolled individuals
- Provide clinical expertise, consultation, and technical assistance to the Youth ACT Team/Behavioral Health, cooperate with the County and participate in any quality audit and utilization review
- Provide on-site/community based/home visits medication evaluations and reviews for Youth ACT enrolled participants.
Education and/or Experience:
- Requires Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Must have a minimum of one year experience working with youth and adults diagnosed with mental illness.
- Must be fully licensed Nurse Practitionerin the State of New York.

- National Provider Identification (NPI) - issued by the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). All electronic prescriptions in NYS require an NPI. Claims processing functions also require the NPI of nurse practitioners and physicians.
- Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number– issued by the United States Department of Justice Department DEA to nurse practitioners and physicians to prescribe controlled substances. DEA registration must be renewed every three years for those issued a prescriber registration.
- NYS Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement (NYS DOH BNE) registration – issued by the NYS DOH BNE to nurse practitioners and physicians to prescribe controlled substances. NYS DOH BNE registration must be renewed every two years for those issued a prescriber registration.

Position purpose: Oversees the custodial staff and ensures that assigned campus facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Provides translation needs for all Custodial teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Leads, supervises, and coordinates the activities of the custodial team to ensure all assigned tasks are completed. Assesses job performance of custodians for yearly evaluation. Prioritizes/schedules work to be done by custodians. Ensures custodians have completed their assigned tasks in each area.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Performs regular cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc. Utilizing cleaning equipment such as butler van, ride on scrubbers, and advanced cleaning equipment. Conducts regular inspections of all areas ensuring areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. Provides coverage for absent staff to maintain cleaning standards.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicates effectively with the Supervisor of Building Maintenance and other staff members about cleaning schedules, and needs. Resolves any custodian related concerns promptly. Pitches in to assist colleagues as needed.
- Operations: Monitors and manages inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Executes special cleaning tasks as requested, beyond routine daily cleaning duties. Stays informed about standards for the use, handling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals. Supports the work request system's administrative functions related to cleaning tasks.
- Administration: Processes monthly requests for cleaning supplies. Approves bi-weekly time sheets for all applicable custodians. Attends seminars and other courses of study designed to improve job performance. Complies with departmental and college policies and procedures. Schedules all vacation and absence time off for their team. Schedules appropriate staffing for major events such as ReUnion, Commencement, Trustees, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of custodial experience. A minimum of three years of supervisory experience within a custodial environment is preferred.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper handling, and disposal procedures.
- Must have a valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Job Summary | The Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of Quantum Computing, Quantum Information, and Quantum Technology, with focus on the fundamental aspects or applications of quantum computation, scalability, and error correction on current and future quantum computing devices. Research areas can include but not limited to quantum entanglement, decoherence, and noise in quantum networks, with applications to quantum cryptography, quantum encryption, and secure quantum communications in noisy environments. Possible related areas would also include studying and exploiting the fundamental connections between Quantum Monte Carlo and Quantum Computing, simulating quantum field theory and many-body theory with a quantum computer (in particular, simulating systems with a “sign” problem), quantum communication networks, exotic quantum dynamics, quantum sensing protocols, exotic quantum phases of matter, and theory on the nature of information at the quantum level. With the anticipated of arrival of the IBM Quantum System One on our campus, this hire will have access to explore and implement some of these challenging problems. Directly responsible for providing non-clinical services to individuals with mental health needs who reside in Saratoga County. This is an in person role, in Saratoga Springs, New York.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Facilitate the Peer Run Social Club.
- Provide coverage for Saratoga County Warm line as needed.
- Provide training and teach skills needed to navigate mental health services in Saratoga County to identified clients.
- Promotes socialization, recovery, self-sufficiency, development of natural supports as well as coping skills and goal setting for those individuals with mental health issues.
- Act as an advocate by assisting individuals with housing issues, medical concerns, therapy or medication related problems, employment goals, and basic budgeting skills.
- Assist with benefits counseling.
- Engage participants in shared decision making around services and recovery planning.
- Function as part of a participant’s treatment to ensure integrated, collaborative care.
- Assist participants with the identification of activities that promote a sense of prosocial community engagement.
- Participate in regularly scheduled supervisions.
- Complete daily case notes.
- Complete all required agency trainings as well as trainings and certifications set forth by the New York State Office of Mental Health.
- Must possess strong interpersonal boundaries.

School Based Clinician
The School Based Clinician is responsible for providing clinical services to youth and their families according to program and regulatory guidelines, ensuring that all services are strengths-based, individualized, and comprehensive according to need.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide clinical services to youth and their families as assigned.
- Participate in the integrated service planning process for all youths enrolled.

- Requires a Masters degree, MSW or equivalent.
- Experience, training, or education commensurate with working with children with serious and persistent emotional disturbance is desired.
- Experience with working in a school environment is preferred.
- Must be licensed prior to starting, or have an active limited permit. LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-R preferred.
- Required to pass licensing exam within six months of employment if working with a limited permit.
- Drivers license is required.

Job Summary | Endowed Constellation Faculty in Future Chips at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute We are especially interested in candidates who have a demonstrated ability to perform high impact research in semiconductor technology to address the next generation challenges in computing. Areas of focus are rooted in fundamental science and engineering that drive advances in microelectronics, such as heterogeneous integration, advanced logic, advanced packaging, and power electronics. Physics of materials is also important to making these advances and is, therefore, an area of interest. The ideal candidates are expected to develop an internationally recognized, externally funded, scientific program in chip technology for the future of computing. The Future Chips Constellation will be a key stakeholder in the Center for Materials, Devices, and Integrated Systems (cMDIS) which houses the Microscale and Nanoscale Cleanroom and the Nanoscale Characterization Core. Lecturer of Biomedical Engineering Position at Union College
The Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering at Union College invites applications for a Lecturer of Biomedical Engineering position, beginning Fall 2024. The position is renewable with a contract period of three years. After six years of employment at Union, Lecturers are eligible for promotion to Senior Lecturer with the possibility of contract lengths up to five years. A Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field is required. Candidates expecting to complete their doctoral thesis before September 2024 are also welcome to apply. Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $81,000 - $84,000. - Student Accountability: Oversees all matters related to the functioning of the non-academic campus conduct system, the maintenance of conduct records, and the management of the contracted conduct system from Maxient. Investigates and ensures timely resolution of all reports of student conduct violations (e.g., interviews; investigations; gathering and assessing evidence; interim support measures; hearings; referrals; preparing confidential reports containing findings; record-keeping; etc.). Receives, processes, investigates, monitors, and reports on bias incident reports involving students. Engages effectively with students in developmentally and educationally focused conversations to address and resolve student conduct matters. Compiles and analyzes data from Maxient and other sources to propose and support initiatives in conduct management. Provides support as needed for Title IX case management, referrals, investigations and hearing boards.
- Conflict Resolution: Offers, where appropriate, alternative forms of dispute resolution. Oversees the provision of conflict resolution services -- including mediation, conflict coaching, restorative practices, and facilitated dialogue -- to students upon request (e.g., meeting with complaining parties and using independent judgment to offer conflict resolution and problem-solving alternatives, when appropriate and applicable).
- Programming: Collaborates with divisional and institutional partners to create and assess an educational programming plan to target key areas of student behavioral concerns, including alcohol use, drug use, sexual misconduct, interpersonal conflict, and safety education. Educates students about their rights and responsibilities through active and passive programming. Monitors student compliance with online education requirements related to Title IX, alcohol & other drugs, and student behavior.
- Staff Development: Uses a distributive model for conduct cases and trains various campus judicial officers. Monitors, trains, and updates judicial officers on all relevant topics, strategies, and techniques in student conduct. Recruits, trains and advises the Student Conduct Committee, Organizational Misconduct Committee, Judicial Hearing Board, and other boards as assigned.
- Student Health and Safety: Monitors students for signs of academic difficulties and/or with other behavioral and developmental issues, intervening and referring to services as needed. Participates in regular professional staff on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and serving as a resource or referral agent. Participates in Crisis Assessment and Risk Evaluation (CARE) team meetings and provides culturally responsive support to students.
- Administration: Manages the day-to-day functions of the Dean of Students Office, including email response and supervision of the work-study program. Updates and maintains corresponding websites regularly, with proper archiving of code updates. Collaborates with Campus Safety to manage Clery Report requirements. Plans an annual budget in consultation with the assistant vice-president and finance office. Reconciles purchases in a timely fashion and oversees staff use of purchasing cards. Serves on college committees as assigned. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 5-7 years of student affairs experience or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and work experience. Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable.

Supervisor: Head Athletic Trainer/Student-Athlete Program Director

As a Case Manager, Regional Permanency Resource Center you will provide supportive services and case management services to adoptive, guardianship and kinship families so they are able to make informed decisions with regards to services and supports that best meet their needs. Job Summary | The Assistant Director (AD) of Student Activities is responsible for planning, facilitating and assisting in the coordination of student club programs on campus. Job Summary | The Program Administrator, Sr manages activities of the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development at RPI, also known as the Digital Gaming Hub, administered through the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. The Program Administrator, Sr is responsible for supervision and management of tasks related to the Hub’s mission, including community management, outreach, events planning and execution, assessment and reporting, and program development. The Administrator supports, initiates, and manages interactions and relations with internal and external partners, including industry partners, community organizations, economic development agencies, funding source, and not-for-profit agencies, research labs, and other stakeholders in the games and digital media ecosystem. As a Peer Advocate, you will in the Permanency Resource Center to assist adoptive, guardianship and kinship/custodial families and case managers in helping families and youth access services. You will assist in the development, scheduling and provision of family engagement activities and support groups. You will report to the Permanency Resource Center Case Manager Supervisor and will work both onsite and remote with community-based travel required.

- Provide families with information about resources in the community for services, ongoing support and linkages.

As a Peer Support Specialist, you will be a member of the Mobile Team, assisting the clinicians on Mobile visits and providing support and advocacy to individuals in crisis. Position Summary
Provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to Agency and other governing bodies (LDSS, OCFS, CSE, etc.) standards and requirements for adolescent clients who are emotionally disturbed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the physical order of the building and therapeutic environment of the units.
- Develop and maintain schedules within the assigned campus residential unit, ensuring that there is adequate staff to meet regulatory requirements and safety requirements.
- Responsible to ensure that youth in our care are being supervised according to regulatory and programmatic standards.
- Design, implement and supervise program activity which will lead to the attainment of goals described within treatment plans.
- Supervise and evaluate the work of residential staff assigned to residential programs.
- Maintain records as directed by the Residential Program Manager.
- Participate in the interviewing and selection of new staff members.

- Conduct residential staff meetings.

Job Summary | Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is pleased to invite applications for Adjunct, Lecturer, Sr. Lecturer, and Professor of Practice openings in several areas. These appointments may be made for one to three years, and are renewable, contingent upon available funding, enrollment, satisfactory performance, and the business needs of the School of Science. Associate Director for Fraternity & Sorority Life
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full time
Supervisor: Director of Residential Education
Position Purpose: Oversees and directs the operations, vision, and programs for Greek life at Union College by facilitating an environment where members of the Greek community can be challenged and supported in their personal growth, efforts, and experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to students. Shares responsibility with other Associate Directors for residential student staff processes (such as room selection, recruitment, selection, hiring, training, and ongoing development). Carries out the mission of Union College and the Division of Student Affairs.
This position primarily operates on site and requires in-person presence. Additionally, the role offers the opportunity for optional on-campus housing.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greek Community Development & Engagement: Creates a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Greek organizations. Manages and supervises the activities of and provides guidance to various National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations as well as local/unaffiliated organizations. Coordinates recruitment/intake and the annual review processes for all student Greek letter organizations. Designs and implements leadership development programs for the Greek community, including programming in the areas of risk management, membership recruitment/intake and education; problem resolution, and community planning.
- Supervision: Supervises the Community Director for Greek Houses. Indirectly supervises Greek house managers and part-time party monitors. Guides and supports the community director and student staff community development efforts, including the implementation of curricular engagement guides and corresponding assessments.
- Student Health and Safety: Monitors and intervenes with students who may be struggling academically and/or with other behavioral and developmental issues. Refers accordingly to services as needed. Participates in regular professional staff on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and serving as a resource or referral agent. Understands and enforces Code of Student Conduct and other policies regarding behavior, safety, security, health, and other matters in cooperation with the appropriate offices. Serves as a campus judicial hearing officer. Participates in CARE team meetings and provides culturally responsive support to students.
- Collaboration: Builds relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to advance the Greek Life program and support its mission. Works in collaboration with designated staff in College Relations to interface with fraternity and sorority alumni. Serves as the liaison to national organizations, chapter advisors, and other College departments.
- Administration: Holds regular office hours to address student and staff needs. Manages the budget for the Greek Life department, allocating resources to support programming, events, and operational expenses. Attends campus community events. Serves on college committees as assigned. Assists with administrative office duties. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 3-5 years of student affairs experience or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable.
- Knowledge of National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations. Membership in an international/national fraternity or sorority is preferred.
- Demonstrated success with the development of educational programming related to risk management, hazing, student conduct, alcohol education, sexual assault prevention, and diversity/equity/inclusion/belonging.
- Experience with leadership development programs and training, including identifying proactively and pursuing relevant learning and professional development opportunities and applying new knowledge, insights, and skills to enhance results.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and participation in the Deans and Directors on-call rotation for crisis intervention.
- Ability to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow staff colleagues.
- Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of those supported and served, including faculty and staff colleagues, students, and prospective students.
- Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.
- Able to exercise exceptional judgment, ensure strict confidentiality, and demonstrate outstanding professionalism in a range of situations.

Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $60,000.00 - $62,000.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
