Company Description:
Maley & Wertz, a leading hardwood lumber manufacturer, is currently seeking a Truck Driver for its manufacturing facility in Evansville, IN. Our drivers are home every night! We are a family owned company that was established in 1885.
Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role located in Evansville, IN for a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver. The Truck Driver will be responsible for operating a truck, ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods, unloading cargo, and adhering to DOT regulations. Daily tasks include routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining logs of working hours, and reporting mechanical issues to maintain the safety and efficiency of operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A license and truck driving experience
- Proficiency in unloading cargo and handling goods
- Knowledge of and adherence to DOT regulations
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and safety checks on trucks
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and onsite
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
