Responsibilities
Archcare seeks a dynamic forward thinking, collaborative, business-minded, and people-centric healthcare finance leader to serve as the next System Chief Financial Officer. This position is part of a succession plan due to the upcoming retirement of the current System Chief Financial Officer (CFO). During the transition this position reports to the current System Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The next System CFO will be a strong leader with a proven track record of success leading highly complex organizations, preferably in both acute and post-acute spaces. He/she must be an effective business strategist, highly collaborative, able to work alongside the CEO and other senior leaders. Ability to define and articulate a financial vision to a wide variety of stakeholders, and provide balance between strategic and operational finance will be critical to the future success of this executive.
- Plan, direct, and manage the overall financial performance, financial policies, internal controls, accounting practices, budgets, and financial reporting for a healthcare system
- Lead the Reimbursement, Decision Support, and Financial Management departments, providing oversight and strategic direction
- Develop consistent financial processes and workflows across all facilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required

- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and familiarity with Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines

Responsibilities
The Labor & Employment Counsel provides advice and counsel to management and Human Resource professionals on a broad range of legal issues including, but not limited to, labor and employee relations, discipline and terminations, and internal investigations. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the Labor & Employment Counsel, in concert with Senior Vice President Human Resources, oversees labor union grievances, hearings, monitor labor activity, and quickly respond to issues, including participation in labor negotiations. The Labor & Employment Counsel will evaluate Archcare employment and labor practices and recommend ways to improve labor and employee relations. He/she will draft and revise policies and communicate changes in policies and procedures and applicable laws and ensure all employment practices within Archcare programs are in compliance with policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable law.
- Shape the labor relations culture of the health system by providing effective guidance and counsel.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with union representatives and coordinate and participate in labor-management meetings as requested by the unions or management.
- Provide a resource to all levels of management related to policy and procedures, Collective bargaining Agreement language interpretation, and past practices.
- Oversee all grievances, grievance hearings, monitor labor activity, and quickly respond to issues, including participation in labor negotiations.
- Attend settlement conferences, civil court cases and arbitrations.
- Coordinate investigations and accumulate information for the defense of all arbitrations, complaints, and litigation. Lead the investigation process, when necessary.
- Ensure all grievances are heard in a timely manner and consult on all third step grievance responses.
- Review and approve all third step responses involving terminations and contract interpretation issues.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel on employment litigation matters and administrative charges.
- Monitor the effectiveness of labor policies and practices on care members; and make recommendations to Senior Vice President, Human Resources on proposed changes.
- Prepare periodic reports concerning labor relations matters.
- Ensure Archcare adherence to all laws and regulations, including FLSA, EEO, OSHA, NLRB, ADA, FMLA. Interpret such matters for management and staff, providing appropriate counsel, as necessary.
- Comply with all internal and external reporting requirements.
- Manage all adverse action, employment related matters, CHRC results, litigation, compliance hotline investigations, reductions in force, separation agreements, and workplace accommodations.
- Facilitating legal training as necessary
