Program Description: The program mission is to assist rural communities to improve their environment, quality of life and be self-sustaining by providing technical assistance and training relating to water, wastewater and solid waste. The Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. (MAP) is a non-profit organization serving the nine Midwestern states of Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. MAP is a partner of the Rural Community Assistance Partnership, Inc. (RCAP).
Salary: $52,500
Position Summary: The Project Manager/Technical Assistance Provider (PM/TAP) generally works in one of MAP’s nine states. The PM/TAP will work with project communities and utilities to provide guidance, training and technical assistance to improve or develop water, wastewater, solid waste systems and other related programs or services. Primary responsibilities include: project management; provide technical guidance; plan and/or deliver training; perform outreach and networking; program development; perform research and analysis; general administrative duties; contract management/mediation; assist with codes/ordinances/grants and grants management; promote system operational standards to meet regulatory compliance; identify cost savings and promote system longevity/sustainment; and assist communities with drafting of by-laws, policies, procedures and rate setting. Work performed is generally in the capacities of technical, financial and managerial.

Who You Are
You are a competent electronics manufacturing professional with a deep understanding of electronics manufacturing techniques, quality control processes, and industry standards. You are capable of operating PCBA manufacturing equipment, including Surface Mount, Through-Hole, and auxiliary equipment in support of rapid prototyping and low volume production. You are exceptionally organized, detail oriented, and thrive on streamlining and enhancing processes and procedures.
What You Will Do
- Pick & Place Programming, Operation, Calibration, and Maintenance.
- Fine-pitch rework/assembly soldering under a microscope
- Reflow Oven Profiling, Operation, and Maintenance
- Screen Print Setup/Profiling & Operation and Maintenance
- Visual acuity, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus as necessary to perform inspections with and without the use of a microscope
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure that electronic products are manufacturable and meet design specifications
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards and customer requirements
- Conduct inspections and testing at various stages of the manufacturing process
- Stay informed about industry standards and regulatory requirements related to electronics manufacturing
- Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with relevant standards and regulations
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in electronics manufacturing and assess their potential application to improve processes
- Maintain accurate documentation per manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on electronics manufacturing experience
- Strong familiarity and ability to adhere to IPC 610 and 620 classes 1, 2 and 3
- ISO-9001 experience (preferred)
- Supervisory experience (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of ESD practices
- Skill in the use of a computer, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Access, etc.)
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality
Requirements:
- Professionalism representing AED when interacting with staff, vendors, clients, and the public
- Organizational skills and the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks independently
- Stand or sit for long periods of time while programming manufacturing equipment, or training technicians to perform these tasks
- Use of a microscope while performing quality inspections of solder and component placement on PCBAs
- Regularly walk, stoop crouch, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Pass a comprehensive background check
- Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by AED now or in the future
