JOB PURPOSE:

Create customer loyalty by providing extraordinary service to each customer via inbound and outbound contacts. Handle customer service calls ranging from billing questions and payments to troubleshooting data or video products and services. Use creative problem-solving skills to address complex customer questions and concerns while navigating between multiple tools and systems to troubleshoot and update customer accounts accordingly. Provide an exceptional customer experience by building rapport, expressing empathy, and effectively and accurately resolving customer questions and concerns.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Connect with customers to troubleshoot and resolve phone, cable, and internet services.
- Resolve customer issues and relieve concerns regarding billing.
- Answer questions and educate on services and features.
- Listen and collaborate with the customer in order to maintain their business and create a positive customer relationship.
- Record customer transactions accurately by dispositioning each contact.
- Document each contact by keeping records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints or comments as well as actions taken.
- Prepare work orders for customer-related issues which may include but are not limited to a variety of service changes and trouble calls.
- Follow up with customers in a timely manner when necessary.
- Support Field Support Technicians by answering questions, troubleshooting, order entry, and documentation during install and trouble call service appointments.
- Serve as Midco’s professional representative when communicating with customers in every channel.
- Train as requested to develop and broaden skill sets and to support customer demand.
- Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility and confidentiality in carrying out customer service functions and other areas of responsibility.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Position titles and compensation changes will be assigned based upon of Midco’s Customer Experience training program.

- Comfortable using technology including the internet and applications.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced work environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Inbound call center environment wearing a headset.
- Must remain at workstation for long periods of time.
- Extremely time sensitive in order to meet customer demand.
- Heavy keyboard/mouse usage required with repetitive movements.
- Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week.

KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Perform installation work including but not limited to voice, video and data installs, and service changes and disconnects in customer homes and places of business.
- Complete Midco First Time Right Broadband I certification within 90 days of hire. Consistently apply First Time Right principles in all aspects of work.
- Troubleshoot and repair services from tap to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), and signal leakage repairs.
- Maintain records, including daily logs and gas sheets.
- Record all required information on work orders, surveys, and referrals.
- Promote cable, internet, and other Company services and educate customers on the proper use of Midco’s services, including how to add additional services, access help online, channel lineups, and proper equipment usage.
- Ensure proper signal levels and picture quality on all television sets; clear the premises of all debris and materials after the installation is complete.
- Appropriately manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs.
- Respond to requests for service and assistance in a timely manner.
- Perform on-call duties as required.
- Possess knowledge of Midco’s safety program (Target Zero), practice and enforce safety rules and procedures; operate all equipment in a safe manner.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Technical Facilities Engineer is a critical role for maintaining Midco’s facilities. This position is responsible for planning, building, coordinating, and maintaining the technical facilities portfolio and helps keep Midco as a leading internet service provider in the Midwest.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure that structures are physically sound and capable of supporting the electronic equipment housed within it. Facility must meet all local, state and federal codes.
- Confirm that facilities have sufficient cooling and heating to keep the temperature at an acceptable and constant range at all times and in all areas of the facility and within racks.
- Ensure that buildings have sufficient available power including Generator and UPS loads. The electrical system needs to be stable and conditioned with proper grounding and surge suppression.
- Confirm that the correct power is available to support new equipment as it is installed.
- Ensure buildings have the proper security in place to prevent unauthorized access and is well lit.
- Budget, design, and manage projects related to technical facilities.
- Ensure facilities have sufficient means for suppression of fires.
- Manage the installation of racks and raceway.
- Develop, expand and improve the existing procedures and practices to continually incorporate the latest findings, highest standards and best practices in the telecommunications industry.
- Work closely with the NOC to ensure critical parameters are being monitored by the NOC.
- Provide training to those that manage the day-to-day operation of the sites and those that work at the sites on all relevant systems.
- Perform technical facility site audits.
- Manage vendor relationships relating to facilities management. This includes, but is not limited to electrical, UPS, HVAC, generators, plumbing, snow removal, lawn care, garbage service, security service, and parking lot maintenance.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with the Technical Facilities Manager regarding any potential or outstanding problems or issues.
