Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Network Engineer. Primary Functions: Design, implement, and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure. Ensure high availability, security, and performance across all network systems. Lead network initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across departments to support business goals.

• Design, deploy, and manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-based networks
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues
• Implement and enforce network security protocols and disaster recovery plans
• Lead network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects
• Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and provide escalation support
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
• Participate in Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises and perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field required.
• License/Certification ITILv3 Foundation or higher  (or within 1 year) required.
• License/Certification CCNP, CCDP, JNCIP preferred.
• License/Certification Mircrosoft Azure Data Engineer preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience Data Wharehousing, Data Lakes and big date platforms required. 
• Minimum 5 years Python experience Han)ds-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar platforms required. 
• Minimum 5 years Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark) required.
• Minimum 3 years Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure preferred), automation concepts required.
