Are you passionate about sports medicine and injury prevention? Join our Sparrow Orthopedics Sports Medicine Team as a Certified Athletic Trainer, working directly with local schools, coaches, and student-athletes to provide top-tier care and injury prevention programs. If you love being on the field, supporting athletes, and making an impact, this role is for you!
What Youll Do:
?? Provide on-site athletic training coverage for high school sports practices & games
?? Assist in injury triage, treatment, and rehabilitation alongside orthopedic professionals
?? Develop & implement injury prevention and performance programs (ACL prevention, speed & agility, conditioning, and more!)
?? Act as the go-to resource for student-athletes, coaches, and parents regarding injury care & recovery
?? Mentor and supervise student trainers in the athletic department
?? Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and physician assistants
What You Bring:
? Certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association
? Michigan Athletic Trainer License (or ability to obtain)
? Bachelors degree in Athletic Training, Physical Education, or related field
? Strong communication & interpersonal skills youll be working with athletes, coaches, and medical professionals daily!
? Ability to adapt to a fast-paced sports environment and think quickly under pressure
