Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Credentialing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying the qualifications and credentials of healthcare providers to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our medical office and supporting managed care operations.

Duties

• Conduct thorough background checks on healthcare providers, including education, training, licensure, and work history
• Ensure all credentialing processes comply with established standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the credentialing database
• Collaborate with medical staff to gather necessary documentation for credentialing applications
• Review and analyze medical terminology to assess provider qualifications effectively
• Communicate with insurance companies and managed care organizations regarding provider credentials
• Assist in the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures
• Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting credentialing practices

Experience

• Excellent Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and internet use
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred (not required)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required to manage multiple credentialing tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Starting $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
