Adjunct Instructor - Movement Science - PT Day and Evening
SUNY Orange is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Part-Time Adjunct Instructor to teach a required Concepts of Physical Wellness course for undergraduate students. This foundational course integrates classroom learning with active movement experiences, helping students build lifelong wellness habits and understand the importance of physical activity for health and performance.
The instructor will be responsible for following established Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), delivering engaging instruction, assessing student progress, and facilitating participation in a variety of physical movement sessions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach one or more sections of Concepts of Physical Wellness, a credit bearing general education course.
- Deliver course content aligned with required SLOs, including: ,
- Understanding health-related concepts (nutrition, stress, cardiovascular health, etc.) ,
- Evaluating individual fitness levels across components such as cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength/endurance, flexibility, and body composition
- Participating in movement sessions (e.g., walking, stretching, weight training, spinning)
- Develop assignments, quizzes, fitness assessments, and activities that align with course objectives.
- Lead and supervise in-class physical activity sessions that are safe, inclusive, and adapted for varied fitness levels.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, fitness data, assessments, and grades in accordance with college policies.
- Provide feedback and academic support to students during office hours or as needed.
- Collaborate with department faculty to ensure consistency and quality in course delivery.
Job Requirements:
Required Education: Master's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Health Promotion Kinesiology, or a closely related field.
Required Experience: Experience teaching wellness, fitness or physical education in higher education and/or high school level. Ability to facilitate both classroom-based instruction and activity based learning. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and a commitment to student success, equity, and inclusive pedagogical practices.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
- Certification in group fitness, personal training, or wellness coaching, (e.g. ACSM, ACE, NASM)
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- Familiarity with fitness testing protocols and interpreting health/fitness data
- Experience with instructional Technology (e.g. learning management systems, fitness tracking apps)

SUNY Orange is seeking an innovative and student-centered professional to join our dynamic team as the Assistant Director of Career Success. This role, housed within the Center for Student and Career Success, plays a pivotal part in fulfilling our mission to empower students to achieve their academic and career aspirations.
The Assistant Director of Career Success is critical to advancing SUNY Orange's Career initiatives and provides training for faculty and staff on career coaching. The Assistant Director facilitates workshops for faculty and staff and works closely with academic communities within the college in developing career exploration options for students. The Assistant Director will assist students with developing alternative career options related to their academic discipline. In support of career goal attainment, the Assistant Director maintains knowledge of current employment, economic, and industry trends and connects students to campus and community services. The Assistant Director tracks and reports participation, outcomes and other related metrics of students. This position will work alongside the Pathway Coaches, Career Coach and Success Coach on career goal setting and planning as well as assist the Associate Director in campus relations with employers. The Assistant Director is expected to travel between both campuses and other sites.

- Conducts student outreach regarding career planning and related opportunities.

- Collaborates with the FYE Advisory Board on FYE course activities related to career exploration and tools.

Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years' experience of career advising in a college setting, vocational recruiting or training, or related vocational services experience. Coordinator of FoodTEC - Part Time, Grant Funded
The Coordinator of FoodTEC supports the management and administration of the Orange County FoodTEC Workforce Development Program and reports directly to the Executive Director. This position will help build and sustain the grant to realize and exceed established goals and outcomes. Specifically, the Coordinator of the FoodTEC Workforce Development Program will help build and enhance short-term, non-degree credential programs or course offerings to program trainees. In addition, the Coordinator will assist in facilitating and maintaining partnerships that foster and promote positive working relationships with employers, workforce development centers, education/training partners, economic development agencies, and equity partners.
The Coordinator of the FoodTEC Program will assist with student needs that may arise with regards to acceptance and registration and the food service operations related to Orange County FoodTEC programs which may include scheduling use of the FoodTEC commercial kitchen for training and rental purposes.
Travel will be required, as needed, between both the Middletown and Newburgh campuses, recruitment sites and the program job sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with providing fiscal oversight, including monitoring the grant budget, following internal operational processes, and providing follow-through of all operational workflows.
- Assist with and maintain program data collection, records, and evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and student success rates.
- Coordinate marketing and outreach activities to promote the FoodTEC Program and recruit trainees.
- Develop and deliver program presentations to various audiences including potential clients.
- Facilitate relationships with both internal (FoodTEC, SUNY Orange, trainees, staff, and faculty) and external audiences (employers, subject-matter experts, industry advisory boards, and other external stakeholders) in support of program goals.
- Coordinate all scheduling details for various program events and meetings.
- Assist program trainees with the acceptance and program registration process.
- Assist the Executive Director in the evaluation and the alignment of curricula and job training programs, work-based learning, and job placement.
- Assist the Executive Director and the Success Coach in identifying and monitoring student supportive services, including wrap-around services (i.e., child care and any program support initiatives) during and after the skills training program.
- Assist the Executive Director in labor market information analysis and environmental scanning to determine the Food, Beverage, and Hospitality industry and Workforce needs.
- Assist with hiring personnel, including consultants, to support grant activities.
- Attend industry, statewide, and local meetings, training sessions, professional development opportunities, and events with or in the absence of the Executive Director, as needed.
- Assist with coordinating food service operations related to Orange County FoodTEC programs. Food service operations may include scheduling the usage of the FoodTEC commercial kitchen for training and space rental.
- Assist the Success Coach and FoodTEC Program Instructors in the coordination and of hard and soft skills training for program trainees, as needed.
Job Requirements:
Education Required: Associate's degree or higher.
Experience Required: One year of experience in project coordination/administration.

Coordinator of Liberty Partnerships Program (Part-Time)
The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) is a collaboration involving SUNY Orange, the Newburgh Enlarged City School District (NFA Main/North High Schools, Heritage/South Middle Schools) and the Boys and Girls Club of Newburgh.
As a New York State Education Department grant-funded initiative, the Liberty Partnerships Program is a comprehensive academic excellence program targeted at both urban and rural, middle and high school students. The program's purpose is to ensure that the youth of the Liberty Partnerships Program graduate from high school and enter post-secondary education and the workforce as highly competent and compassionate young adults.
SUNY Orange is currently seeking a part-time Coordinator to join the Liberty Partnerships Program. This part-time position will assist the Liberty Partnership Program Director with the implementation of programming and reporting for the Liberty Partnerships Program, which is comprised of an afterschool and summer program designed to increase high school graduation rates and promote college readiness. The Coordinator will also assist the Director in developing and fostering key partnerships within the local community that best serve students within the afterschool program and meet the requirements set forth in the grant. Jr. Case Manager - Grant funded
The Jr. Case Manager will help plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of individuals enrolled in Youth Employment Program and Summer Youth Employment Programs. PROSPERAR Pathway Coach - PT
The PROSPERAR Pathway Coach works collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive and student-centered environment, with students of various learning styles, identities and life experiences. As a representative of one or more of the seven communities, this position centers on clearing the path for students to graduate, with targeted strategies to meet the needs of Hispanic and low-income students. The PROSPERAR Pathway Coach will help students gain access to resources when most needed. The PROSPERAR Pathway Coach will serve as a support system to the designated department(s) to ensure that students graduate from college, explore vocational opportunities, and find their career path. Travel may be required between both campuses and other sites, as needed. Assist in creating an overall IT quality strategic roadmap and approach to quality assurance that will ensure required performance and functionality of HVCU’s technology and applications.
Assist in the creation of end-to-end test strategies for testing of major platform and application deployments, upgrades, and maintenance. Follow best practices for quality assurance processes and perform them in a timely and efficient manner.
Create quality assurance and testing standards to be adhered to by all HVCU staff. Educate and guide business users on the importance of quality assurance/testing and their practices.
- Design, develop and maintain automation for validating data to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Lead quality assurance plans to support system integrations, conversions and migrations.
Partner with HVCU’s Project Management Office in the creation of quality assurance and activities in project plans.
Provide oversight, guidance and management to quality assurance 3rd parties providing services to HVCU to achieve assurance goals in a cost effective manner.
Increase team capacity through the use of automated solutions to enable speed and agility in meeting business needs.
Develop control processes and scorecards to monitor data and reporting issues to produce QA test result reports, in an effort to drive and coordinate issue resolution with responsible parties.
Ensure solutions within the environment follow established guidelines, policies, and technical frameworks.
Act as a liaison and collaborate with business clients, technology personnel, and support providers to track and implement business requirements, drive efficient and effective discussions regarding QA best practices and implement strategies throughout the life cycle of projects or process improvements.
Keep current with technology trends, solutions, and vendors.
Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science or related field is required.
- Minimum 8 years experience creating and executing the testing of plans and strategies.
- Minimum 5 years technology experience is required.
- Work history in a Credit Union or financial institution is preferred.
