BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and supervises guest recreation activities and recreation areas. Promotes guest participation in House Activities and socializations amongst fellow guests to maximize guest enjoyment during their visit to Mohonk Mountain House and its environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Lead activities to ensure social interaction amongst the guests and to ensure a happy and safe environment.
•Use a PC to process payment and implementation of data into a software program

•Program and plan activities for any time of the year.
•Participate in the planning and execution of special events (4th of July, Barnival, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and President’s Week)

•Lead Arts and Crafts classes.
•Participate in the planning and execution of special events and holidays.
•Lead hikes, rock scrambles, snowshoe walks, and XC ski tours up to 5 miles.
•Lead snow tubing.
•Lead guests on a daily guided mountain bike ride up to 8 miles.
•Run sport tournaments and games. (Softball, croquet, volleyball, putting & etc.)
•Handle adversity, change and emergency situations calmly and with a level head.
•Analyze problems and develop and implement action plans to address problems.
•Rock scramble safely and negotiate and maneuver between tight spaces.
•Speak clearly to groups of 1-30 people.
•See close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
•Identify safety hazards and inspect the work of others by sight, sound, and/or smell. Ensure hazards are corrected.
• Speak, read and write the English language and communicate in a clear and congenial manner, with our guests, visitors and employees. Hear oral/auditory directions, instructions or warnings and give same warnings to others.
•Manipulate personal floatation devices (PFDs) and Shepard’s crook.
•Work in a manner that will not endanger self or others.

•Memorize a history tour of the grounds, trails, and story of Mohonk and the Smiley Family.

•Demonstrate comfortableness with lake ecology such as: inability to see the bottom of 60’ deep, snakes, frogs, turtles, and fish in size of approximately 11-20 inches.
•Work flexible or changing days and hours; including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasionally up to 14 hours per shift.
•Reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, stoop, twist and flex arms, walk up and down stairs/inclines, sit, climb up/down ladders or stand for up to 5 hours at a time.
• Lift up to 75 pounds from ground level to waist level and carry a distance of up to 100 feet with/ without assistance. Walk up to 10 miles per day.
•Maneuver carts or dollies safely with loads up to 200 pounds up and down stairs, elevators, through passageways or outdoors up to 75 feet/yards.
•Present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Mohonk Mountain House Dress and Grooming Standards.
•Demonstrate knowledge and appreciation of nature and the outdoors
•Answer guest questions with accurate information and demonstrate a friendly and helpful personality by smiling, eye contact, initiating conversation and engaging with others.
•Carry a two-way portable radio and earpiece to communicate and provide immediate response to emergency situations
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience or potential in a people-oriented job or potential for success in a people-oriented job preferred.
•Valid Driver’s License and at least 21 years of age, or 20 years of age with at least two years of licensed driving experience.
•CPR/First Aid certification strongly preferred.

Adjunct Clinical Instructor - Diagnostic Imaging
SUNY Orange is recognized for its excellence in teaching and takes pride in its role in educating the next generation of students.
The Diagnostic Imaging department invites applications from individuals with a commitment to excellence in teaching students from diverse backgrounds.
We are currently seeking Adjunct Clinical Instructors to teach clinical per diem. Days and times of clinical assignments can be found on the Diagnostic Imaging webpage, but in general, are day or "business hours". The number of hours assigned may vary and are determined by student clinical assignments and workload (hours or a certain number of hours are not guaranteed). Typically the assigned hours vary from a minimum of 15 to a max of 120 hours in a semester depending on allotted hours and one's availability.
Clinical instructors may also be assigned to function as Skills Lab Instructors for tutoring. Skills labs typically occur after class and scheduled labs conclude (approximately 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and later). These sessions support student success through individualized review and practice. Other future opportunities could include continuing education courses (development and hosting).
The Adjunct Clinical Instructor supports the Radiologic Technology Program by providing direct supervision, instruction, and evaluation of students in the clinical setting. Clinical instructors play a critical role in helping students integrate classroom knowledge with patient care and imaging practice in a professional healthcare environment.
Clinical instructors are assigned to various affiliated clinical locations based on program need. While the program makes every effort to place instructors at sites closer to their residence, site requests cannot be guaranteed. The current program location is Middletown, but this will likely change to Newburgh in about a year.
Job Requirements:
Education Required: Associate's degree in Radiography, Healthcare, Education or other related field. Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and NYS DOH license for Radiography.
Experience Required: Minimum of two (2) years' clinical experience in radiography. Strong knowledge of, or experience with, program policies and procedures, leadership, technique building, anatomy, and positioning skills. NYS Radiography license. ARRT Certification in Radiography.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Healthcare, Education or other related field. Proficient in supervision, instruction, and evaluation. Experience with students at a clinical affiliate or another imaging centering. CPR Certification.
Responsibilities: At a minimum, the clinical instructor is expected to: maintain knowledge of the program's mission, goals, and clinical objectives; understand and apply the clinical evaluation system; provide students with clinical instruction and supervision in accordance with program policies; evaluate students' clinical competence and provide timely feedback; participate in the assessment process, as appropriate; monitor and enforce program policies and procedures in the clinical setting; communicate regularly with program faculty regarding student progress and concerns.

- Conducts student outreach regarding career planning and related opportunities.
- Offers on-going career training and workshops for staff and faculty advisors.

- Assist with loan structure and mentoring of other credit staff, on an as needed basis.
- Complete commercial credit analyses within specified deadlines.
- Maintain the Credit Union’s commercial loan portfolio by performing annual reviews, renewals, extensions and modifications on existing borrowing relationships.
- Respond to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from other HVCU personnel, members, etc. within given timeframes and within established policy.

Coordinator of FoodTEC - Part Time, Grant Funded
The Coordinator of FoodTEC supports the management and administration of the Orange County FoodTEC Workforce Development Program and reports directly to the Executive Director. This position will help build and sustain the grant to realize and exceed established goals and outcomes. Specifically, the Coordinator of the FoodTEC Workforce Development Program will help build and enhance short-term, non-degree credential programs or course offerings to program trainees. As a New York State Education Department grant-funded initiative, the Liberty Partnerships Program is a comprehensive academic excellence program targeted at both urban and rural, middle and high school students. SUNY Orange is currently seeking a part-time Coordinator to join the Liberty Partnerships Program. This part-time position will assist the Liberty Partnership Program Director with the implementation of programming and reporting for the Liberty Partnerships Program, which is comprised of an afterschool and summer program designed to increase high school graduation rates and promote college readiness. The Coordinator will also assist the Director in developing and fostering key partnerships within the local community that best serve students within the afterschool program and meet the requirements set forth in the grant. This position may work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend hours as need. Additionally, this position may be required to travel between campuses and to other program sites in Newburgh, NY as need.
