Ethan Allen Workforce is seeking an appropriate candidate to fill a full-time direct hire tech support opening with an internationally recognized client. The tech support specialist is responsible for providing level 1/2 support within a call center environment for all standard software, hardware, and network issues. This position provides effective evaluation of end-user needs and, in all cases, uses good judgment and timeliness in responding to issues/resolutions. Resolution will include but not be limited to the following: identify, research, and resolves technical problems, responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support while documenting, tracking, and monitoring the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Tech Product Support Specialist Responsibilities
- Resolve IT issues over phone, email, and live chat for clients and internal employees
- Technical support for laptop and desktop workstations as well as wired and wireless networks
- Create and maintain service tickets from initiation through to closure
- Fix laptops, desktops, and handheld products by replacing defective parts
- Configure network protocols such as DHCP reservations and IP addresses
Tech Product Support Specialist Requirements
- Technical degree in computer science, IT, electrical engineering or CompTIA/Cisco certification
- Call center experience or CompTIA/Cisco certification
- Understanding of troubleshooting networks and IP configurations
- Excellent interpersonal skills over the phone and via email
- Ability to proficiently use software like MS applications, database applications, and internet protocols
- Proficiency in diagnosing computer problems and fixing the issue for end users
The client offers an in-depth benefits package and the candidate must be open to working an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8am-8pm. Some Saturdays working remote will be required once up and trained. Position will be in office.
