We seek socio-cultural candidates whose research addresses and who can teach courses on: environmental anthropology, economic anthropology, science and technology studies, public health, and/or indigeneity. We are especially interested in candidates who can also offer courses on gender and/or religion (particularly Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism) and who could potentially develop an ethnographic field school. In terms of geographic expertise, preference will be given to candidates who work in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, South, East, or Southeast Asia or amongst indigenous people of Oceania or the Americas, but we will also consider other areas not currently represented by faculty in the department. Candidates with Ph.D. in anthropology in hand and teaching experience are preferred, but ABD candidates, as well as candidates in closely related fields are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will teach six courses over three ten-week trimesters.
About the Anthropology Department:
The Department prides itself on strong teaching and on building relationships with students. Department members are all active scholars who support each other’s scholarship and who value the integration of research and teaching. The department has a long tradition of field schools (currently running in Fiji and India) where students do hands-on research. Anthropology at Union contributes to many interdisciplinary programs and to the Complex Questions general education curriculum that focuses on global challenges and on social justice. Position Purpose: Ensures the optimal functioning, safety and appearance of campus facilities through the maintenance and repairs of various physical structures throughout the College.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Facility Maintenance and Repair: Conducts routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, and structural fixtures. Addresses issues related to windows, including repairs and replacement of parts. Performs minor replacements of carpet and vinyl composition tiles as needed.
Utilities Management: Reads electric and gas meters accurately and regularly. Troubleshoots and addresses any issues related to electric and gas meters promptly. Ensures the proper functioning of utilities to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Collaboration and Logistics: Participates in various set-up tasks, including furniture moving assignments. Adapts to a flexible schedule, including weekends, for special assignments. Collaborates with team members to execute logistics plans effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
Two years of general maintenance experience in a large educational, healthcare, or residential complex or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A valid New York State Driver's License.
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
Must be safety conscious.
Physical requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, and bending, as well as the capability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

As a Case Manager for Mobile Crisis, you will provide case management services to support the crisis intervention and follow-up plan for each client. As a Case Manager, Regional Permanency Resource Center you will provide supportive services and case management services to adoptive, guardianship and kinship families so they are able to make informed decisions with regards to services and supports that best meet their needs. Clinician, Positive Youth Program
As a Clinician in the Positive Youth Progression program, you will maintain a caseload of eight to ten youth and meet with each weekly. Positive Youth Progression provides six to nine months of home and community-based prevention services to youth who are at risk of being removed from their homes. The goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement for troubled youth and to avoid the juvenile justice system. - Complete assessment to identify the strengths and needs of the youth, caregiver and family.
- Develop treatment plans for the youth and families to help identify and meet their goals.

- A trauma-informed approach to service delivery and working with the clinical case manager to conduct family sessions
- Communicate with the youth’s family to monitor progress and support the family’s effort to keep the youth safe
- Ensure provisions of regular treatment plan meetings and services plan reviews to assess on going progress and identify any needed modification to treatment planning
- Coordinate services with service providers and collaterals involved with the youth and their family
- Complete paperwork within agency, count, and state guidelines.

As a Clinician, you will coordinate client assessments and work with the child, family, legal guardian, law guardian, psychiatrist, nurse, psychologist, educators, child care staff, and other providers to prepare, implement and monitor a comprehensive, permanency-focused case plan for children in the Residential Program.
