Job Summary | The Mechanical Shop Supervisor directs the continuous, efficient and safe day-to-day operations of the Mechanical Shop. The position supervises Shop staff, manages workload, monitors performance and serves as the Shop client service liaison. The Supervisor works closely with other Division of Administration staff to respond to emergencies and complete major maintenance projects. The Instructional Technologist will be a member of the Production team in the Instructional Design and Development (IDD) unit at Excelsior University. Our team works closely with the IDD project teams to develop transformative, engaging, high-quality learning experiences for our students. As an Instructional Technologist, you will partner with IDD team members to build and revise content in the learning management system (LMS).
This is a full-time hybrid role with a minimum of two required days at Excelsior's home office of 7 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY with the remainder of the week worked from home.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop or revise learning content in the LMS in alignment with IDD’s course design, guidelines, and best practices.
• Implement repairs to live courses, as needed.
• Evaluate features and tools available within the LMS to determine their deployment and implementation within our programs and other learning experiences.
• Consult with other team members during the course development process to identify, test, evaluate, and select technologies that support student learning and the achievement of learning outcomes.
• Provide technical support for faculty and students in the utilization of adopted instructional technologies.
• Research, select, and modify existing training curriculum, content, materials on instructional technologies for faculty, students, and other team members.
• Collaborate with team members and other Academic Affairs departments to create and facilitate faculty development programs and on-demand resources on teaching, learning, and course design.
• Remain current with the latest industry technology tools and trends.

Job Summary | The Associate Vice Provost (AVP) is a key member of the Student Experience leadership team and plays a vital role in setting the strategic direction for Student Health and Wellness. Job Summary | The Department of Communication and Media in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applicants for the Thomas Phelan Endowed Chair & Department Head in Communication & Media, a tenured faculty position beginning in August 2025. Job Summary | The Major Gift Officer will serve as the Director of Development for the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences and the lead Advancement Officer in the school. The incumbent is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive advancement program to secure philanthropic resources for the top priority projects of the Institute and the school. As a member of the Division of Institute Advancement Constituent Relations team, the Director of Development will work cooperatively and collegially with members of the Institute’s Division of Institute Advancement to effectively build successful fundraising programs for the school. Starting Salary/Rate | Expected hiring range: Hiring range for HVAC/r - min $25 - max $27 To be considered for the Sr. HVAC/r Technician position, an individual must demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise in HVAC/r systems, including complex repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a wide range of equipment. This includes experience with centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw chillers, as well as the ability to independently evaluate and resolve complex issues. The Sr. Technician should also have a strong proficiency in utilizing building management systems and troubleshooting electrical circuits. Additionally, they must exhibit leadership qualities by supervising and guiding external contractors, ensuring high-quality work, and contributing to continuous improvement in operational efficiency. Job Summary | The Associate General Counsel provides professional legal support and counsel to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The duties and responsibilities of the Associate General Counsel are to advise on, draft, and negotiate contracts; provide legal counsel to academic and administrative leaders; advise Institute leaders on legal risks and the terms of various deals; provide legal guidance on strategic partnerships; identify and advise on regulatory requirements and emerging legal issues impacting the Institute; perform pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights; and represent the Institute in the areas that include of corporate, physical property, intellectual property, commercial, real estate and new venture matters. The Associate General Counsel also serves as a legal center of expertise for data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity compliance, including ensuring that terms with vendors are appropriate for protection in these areas. The Associate General Counsel reports to the General Counsel and Secretary of the Institute. |

The Associate Instructional Designer is responsible for assessing course issues and implementing solutions to resolve those issues that align with Excelsior University’s academic standards and best practices for adult learning. Working closely with instructional designers, instructional technologists, media developers, and other members of the Instructional Design and Development team (IDD), the Associate Instructional Designer ensures that course content is pedagogically sound, accessible, and aligns with Excelsior’s course design standards. The ideal candidate has knowledge of instructional design principles, online learning technologies, and assessment strategies. This role plays a key part in maintaining course quality and supporting Excelsior’s commitment to delivering an exceptional learning experience for students.
This position is based out of the university’s home office in Albany, NY with the option of considering remote candidates. Remote employees will have mandatory occasional travel for meetings, conferences, and professional development opportunities. Remote employees are expected to be available during work hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Eastern time. The University will supply necessary equipment to perform the essential functions of this job (e.g., Laptop, docking station). Employees are responsible for having a workspace where they can participate in virtual meetings without multiple interruptions and noise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with broader Instructional Design and Development team to support course maintenance operations.
• Apply instructional design principles to fix critical issues in courses..
• Analyze and assess course issues and apply appropriate and effective instructional strategies, tools, and assessments to resolve those issues..
• Ensure course content aligns with Excelsior’s course design standards, accessibility guidelines, and online learning best practices.
• Review and refine course content to ensure clarity, coherence, and alignment with learning objectives.
• Collaborate with other instructional designers to enhance Excelsior’s course development methodologies and resources.
Qualifications:
