Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Safety and Security Patrol: Patrols campus premises on foot or vehicle to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Identifies and responds to potential security threats, suspicious activities, and safety hazards. Monitors access to campus buildings and facilities and ensures that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas. Directs traffic during peak hours, special events, or emergencies, ensuring smooth flow and pedestrian safety.
Emergency Response: Responds promptly to emergency calls, provides first aid or assistance as needed, and coordinates with other emergency responders when required.
Crime Prevention: Monitors access points, enforces campus policies, and addresses violations like trespassing, vandalism, and theft. Conducts security checks on buildings and facilities.
Investigations: Collects evidence, interviews witnesses, and files detailed reports for further action by campus authorities or law enforcement if necessary.
Safety Training and Awareness: Attends safety workshops, training sessions, and awareness programs related to personal safety, fire safety, and active shooter preparedness.
Communication: Maintains clear and constant communication with other Campus Safety members, campus staff, and local law enforcement to coordinate responses to incidents effectively.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in a related field, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, or work experience.
Associate’s degree in a related field of study may be substituted for work experience.
Valid NYS drivers license.
Current New York State Security Guard registration certification required.
Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk and stand for extended periods, and climbing of stairs.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Demonstrated conscientiousness related to safety and ability to follow procedures.
Ability to exercise exceptional judgment, ensure strict confidentiality, and demonstrate outstanding professionalism in a range of situations.

Compensation:
The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Job Summary | The Student Services Coordinator serves in the Office of Undergraduate Student Services, located in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering. The Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of activities relating to the recruitment of new undergraduate students to the department, the retention and satisfaction of current students, and support of accreditation assessment activities. As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.

You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.

Description
As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will provide crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization and interventions, de-escalation techniques and follow-up services to the identified client experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. You will provide these interventions by telephone and on-site mobile visits and will implement them using a strength-based, trauma-informed, systems-oriented perspective, including the development of crisis prevention and safety plans; follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of plans; coordination of services with existing treatment providers; and linkage to additional community-based therapeutic resources and supports. You will directly report to the Clinical Site Supervisors with Director and Executive Program Director guidance. You will work on-site with travel to the community and individuals' homes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
- Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
- Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
- Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the home or community (wherever the individual is experiencing a crisis).
Schedule/Shift:
- Fulltime; 5 days a week 8 hour shifts or 4 days a week 10 hour shifts
- Weekend and holiday expectations
- When scheduled for a weekend shift your schedule will be 5, 8 hour shifts for that week
Requirements and Education:
- Masters' degree (MSW/MHC) and two years of related experience required
- LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC – LP or MSW-LP licensure required
- MSW -LP holders must be license eligible and willing to apply for a limited permit upon hire.
- MHC- LP holders must already have obtained their limited permit and be close to finishing required clinical hours
- Willing to pass and obtain licensure within 3 months of hire - Required
- Must have a valid NYS Drivers License and be willing to travel to clients' homes and communities under a variety of circumstances and weather conditions.

Job Summary | The Robotic Lab + Woodshop Supervisor (under the direction of the Woodshop Manager), will serve as the director of the school’s Robotic Lab as well as assist in a range of additional day-to-day duties throughout the shop facilities. Provide essential instructional support and technical expertise specific to robotic technology in support of the school’s entire academic and research enterprise. The supervisor will be a champion of integrating advanced manufacturing technologies with critical design-driven workflows. Description
As the Behavior Support Classroom Specialist, you will ensure the safety of the students in the Alternative Programming Room. You will coordinate clinical, academic, and restorative efforts for students in APR. You will report to the Dean of Students and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily schedule for Alternative Programming Room with teaching staff, classroom staff, and clinicians.
- Coordinate Restorative Practices efforts with the administrative team
- Communicate with leadership team regarding incidents and interventions.
- Support and correct behavior support staff interactions and interventions with students.
- Ensure that APR support staff follow school and agency procedures while working with students.
- Coordinate with treatment teams and families regarding behavioral concerns that are affecting the milieu and academic programming.
- Help design and implement treatment services for children in collaboration with students, educators, administrators, and clinicians.
- Assist and educate staff with implementation of crisis intervention work, conflict resolution, and mediation strategies throughout the school.
- Be a school liaison with residential staff to ensure consistency of care and support of students across programs.
- Participate in implementation of PBIS Tier II and Tier III student plans.
- Collaborate with all members of the school and clinical treatment team to ensure ongoing communication and consistency of interventions and treatment for students.
- Ensure that all reporting forms are completed and returned to the appropriate source.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student information observing agency, state, and federal regulators.
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Maintain TCI Training
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- HS diploma with 3 years of experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Drivers license

Job Summary | The Alumni Engagement Officer is responsible for developing and managing a variety of alumni programs, specifically chapter programs and activities for Rensselaer alumni, parents, and friends. These activities include chapter leadership and volunteer committee development and succession planning, development of regional alumni events, and event-planning and coordination with IA staff. The Engagement Officer manages assigned affinity areas and will support the portfolios philanthropic goals. |
