Job Summary | Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is pleased to invite applications for Adjunct, Lecturer, Sr. Lecturer, and Professor of Practice openings that may be available in several areas within the Lally School of Management. These appointments may be made for one to three years, and are renewable, contingent upon available funding, enrollment, satisfactory performance, and the business needs of the Lally School of Management. Adjunct appointments are made for a single semester and are renewable. This posting is meant to attract candidates who may be available to cover a temporary gap in the Schools's teaching roster. |
Minimum Qualifications | Candidates are expected to have a terminal degree in an area related to the subject matter of their teaching. Candidates must be able to provide evidence of effective teaching or instruction. An Adjunct classification is a non-tenured temporary academic appointment. An Adjunct Faculty must have the prerequisite academic teaching experience and credentials in the course subject area and discipline. |

VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF U.S. HISTORY
The History Department at Union College invites applications for a one-year visiting appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor with an emphasis on US History. This position will begin in Fall 2024. Union College is a leading national liberal arts college deeply committed to undergraduate education.
The college is located in New York’s capital region, a metropolitan area of over one million people. Our region offers affordable, livable neighborhoods and a variety of interesting cultural and recreational opportunities. In addition, New York, Boston, and Montreal are located within a three-hour drive from campus.

Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $67,000 - $69,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
