This position reports directly to the Department Chair of IT and Cybersecurity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned course as prescribed, making no changes to content or implementation guidelines.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise through constructive and substantive involvement with student discussions/learning activities and sharing of expertise and experience.
- Challenge students’ own thinking and form connections between theory and practice across disparate areas of knowledge in diverse settings, and among divergent viewpoints.
- Create an effective, engaged, and vibrant online learning community by maintaining a frequent and meaningful online/email presence in courses.
- Adhere to established minimum teaching and engagement expectations, and to all University and School of Graduate Studies policies as outlined in the Faculty Handbook.
- Offer timely formative and summative feedback on student assignments. Set clear academic standards, provide constructive feedback throughout the course, and provoke critical thinking.
- Commit an average of 134-140 hours of work per 3-credit course assigned.
- Provide prompt, substantive, and timely responses to student needs and communications.
- Be familiar with the Canvas learning management system and all support services available to students.
- Demonstrate skill in understanding cultural differences and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Rate of Pay:
1. A flat rate of $1000 per credit for a section of at least 10 undergraduate students or 8 graduate students. Courses that fall under these student headcounts are

Reporting into the Sr. Director, Application Management & Business Intelligence, the Director-IT Service Management will create a cohesive and efficient IT service environment that enhances the performance of help desk, tech support, application development, infrastructure, integrations, and academic technology teams.
This is a full-time hybrid role with a minimum of two days each week worked at the Albany, NY campus with the remainder of the week worked from home.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- ITSM Framework Development: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the IT Service Management (ITSM) framework. Ensure alignment with industry best practices and university goals.

Excelsior University is recruiting Subject Matter Experts (SME) on a contractual basis to support individual course development. The SME will have advanced knowledge and expertise in computer science and Artificial Intelegence. Courses to be developed or revised may include: (1) Machine Learning Foundations: Responsible AI Development (2) Natural Language Processing and Emerging Apps (3) Visonary Machines: Exploring Computer Vision Technologies (4) Responsible AI: Neural Networks and Deep Learning (5) Ethics Society, and Law in AI.
Reporting to the Department Chair, the SME plays a key role in the design and revision of course content. The SME works closely with the Department Chair, Learning Experience Designer, and other staff across the University during the course development process. The course development process lasts about 20-weeks/4.5 months, unless it is an expedited development. This timeline does not include the Excelsior onboarding and compliance training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Update an existing course or design a new course based on area need, including program content and materials and/or delivery methods, and based on foundational knowledge, emerging practices, changes in the discipline, etc.
- Align course development with course and program learning outcomes. Thematic areas may include:

The Report Developer is a member of the BI team within Information Technology Services reporting to the Reporting Manager. Collaboration with stakeholders, analysts, business users and technology staff to deliver BI solutions to Excelsior University is expected.
Gathering and analyzing business requirements; designing, developing, and maintaining reports or applications using Ellucian Banner are necessary.
The Report Developer is expected to develop an in-depth understanding of data maintained in various application systems, and how it is best organized or integrated. This position will participate in efforts to build, extend, and maintain the underlying data architecture that supports reporting needs of the University.
This position is based out of the university’s home office in Albany, NY with the option of considering remote candidates. Remote employees will have mandatory occasional travel for meetings, conferences, and professional development opportunities. Remote employees are expected to be available during work hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Eastern time. The University will supply necessary equipment to perform the essential functions of this job (e.g., Laptop, docking station). Employees are responsible for having a workspace where they can participate in virtual meetings without multiple interruptions and noise.

Excelsior University is seeking a dynamic Business Intelligence Developer to join the Technology department. Take your love of analytics to the next level and help us optimize our students' journey. This full-time hybrid role reports to the Director of Business Intelligence (BI) within the Information Technology Services unit. Only two required days per week at Excelsior's home office: 3 Columbia Circle Albany, NY. The remaining days can be worked from home.
The BI Developer is a member of the BI team within Technology and Facility Services reporting to the Director of BI. Collaboration with stakeholders, analysts, business users and technology staff to deliver BI solutions to Excelsior University is expected. Gathering and analyzing business requirements; designing, developing, and maintaining reports or applications using Power BI, QlikView, Qlik Sense and other BI tools is necessary.
The BI Developer is expected to develop an in-depth understanding of data maintained in various application systems, and how it is best organized or integrated. This position will participate in efforts to build, extend, and maintain the underlying data architecture that supports reporting or analytical needs of the University.
- Work in collaboration with data analysts and business users to analyze, estimate, and fulfill requests for information and reports from transactional systems.
- Design and develop reports and dashboards using Power BI, QlikView, Qlik Sense and other BI tools.
- Assist in performing BI systems testing, including data quality assurance, operations process, performance, and usability testing.
- Perform tasks related to the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of business intelligence systems.
- Create and maintain PLSQL and TSQL procedures to process and store data.
- Assist in executing, monitoring, and administering data extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes within the production data warehouse environment.
- Maintain a strong understanding of business workflow, processes, and events and how these are captured in transactional systems.
- Write technical documentation and term definitions in Data Cookbook.
- Enhance professional knowledge and skills by attending conferences and advanced training in required areas of expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, database management or related field required.
- SQL, Power BI, Requirements Analysis experience required
- At least three years’ experience writing and troubleshooting complex Oracle SQL queries and PL/SQL code OR Microsoft SQL Server Queries and TSQL.
- Strong understanding of relational database systems and data warehousing concepts. Experience in designing and developing dimensional models is desirable.
- Experience with enterprise-level business intelligence applications and reporting tools. Experience in Power BI, QlikView and Qlik Sense are desirable.
- Experience translating complicated technical concepts into simple and effective business terms to high-level leaders and non-technical people.

- Presentation skills, data validation, Test Driven Development skills
The hiring salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00. The hiring salary range above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting.

Position Title: Advancement Information Services Specialist

Supervisor: Executive Director of Admissions & Advancement Systems & Services
Position Purpose: Maintains accurate and up-to-date information related to fundraising and constituent data within the College Relations department. Focuses on managing and ensuring data integrity, generating reports, and supporting fundraising efforts.
Plays a critical role in supporting the advancement efforts by managing data, providing insights, and ensuring the efficient operation of systems and processes.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Gift Processing and Acknowledgement: Processes and records incoming gifts and donations accurately and in a timely manner. Ensures compliance with financial policies and procedures, legal requirements, and donor restrictions when recording and allocating gifts. Coordinates the acknowledgement process by generating gift receipts, thank-you letters, and other donor correspondence.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Generates reports and analyzes data to provide insights into donor giving patterns, and overall fundraising performance. Assists in the production, maintenance and distribution of financial reports, gift/pledge acknowledgement correspondence, pledge reminders and matching gift requests.
Collaboration and Communication: Addresses questions/requests regarding gifts/pledges from all sources. Works closely with fundraising teams and other staff members to understand their data needs and provide them with accurate and timely information. Contributes to the organization's ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Administrative: Works regularly with the Finance Office on account reconciliations and pledges. Provides support for the annual audit and fiscal year end closing processes. Trains, assigns, and monitors the performance of student workers. Assists colleagues during busy times and for overlapping responsibilities including assisting with department wide events such as Homecoming and Reunion.
Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Familiarity with and understanding of the purpose of fundraising in higher education or a nonprofit setting.
Demonstrated experience in data entry with the desire to meet expectations of efficiencies, timeliness and accuracy
Proficiency working with a variety of software applications (MS Office suite)
Proficiency in using donor databases, CRM systems, or fundraising software is preferred.
Demonstrated ability and desire to learn, apply and retain complex and detailed processes and procedures
Strong analytical and data management skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel.
Ability to work independently and as a team member, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Compensation:
The rate for this position is $20.00 an hour. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
