Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment and Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team in Rapid City, SD. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to keep equipment operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on heavy trucks and equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and lubrication.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues using manual tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Repair and replace defective parts such as engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, steering components, suspension systems, and hydraulics.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inspection reports.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns in the shop or in the field as required.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy-duty drive trains.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions (indoor/outdoor, weather, noise).
- Must be able to pass a physical and a background check.

Position Overview
To provide professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of employee benefits, new hires, and testing programs. Responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of employee benefits, new hires, termination and testing programs to assure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and institutional policies. Essential Functions-HR
- Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems.
