●   Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or Related Field with 3-5 years of relevant experience 

Darrah Land Surveying PLLC is a Professional Land Surveying firm that has been providing surveying services to Northern New York and the Greater Glens Falls Area since 2006. Darrah 
Land Surveying, PLLC is a growing land surveying company seeking to hire candidates for the 
position of Survey Technician. Located in Lake Luzerne, NY, our company provides an opportunity to draft for residential, design and construction surveys. This full-time position would be fitting for motivated self-starters that will gain experience in an encouraging and supportive work environment.   

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities  

●   Analyze legal descriptions, easements, boundary surveys and topographical surveys  

●   Read, understand and interpret field notes and surveying data   

●   Communicate with Management, Crew Chiefs, and Field Crews on a daily basis  
●   Research map records, deeds and established property lines  

●   Draw, draft and create survey maps using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Carlson   

●   Work both independently and with co-workers on active projects  

●   Perform computations to reduce raw survey data for use in production of boundary and

topographic maps as well as construction computations.  

Qualifications & Skills   

●   Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel  

●   Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson 

●   Ability to multitask   

●   Land surveying field experience is a plus   

●   Ability to interpret/understand construction plans and drawings
