**Sign On Bonus $5,000** (paid in 2 parts 1/2 at 30 days and 1/2 at a year)**

Available shifts - Monday - Friday between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm - no weekends

As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement classroom instructional plans for students and support students success in academic and behavioral goals. You will report to the Assistant Principle and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations about our school and students.
• Develop and implement a classroom instructional plan based on a students IEP and grade and subject area curricula; work with content area teachers to ensure that their lessons are differentiated as to meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for all students on your caseload. Ensure that accommodations and modifications are provided. Provide specially designed instruction and monitor student progress toward academic and behavioral goals. Complete progress reports and IEP updates, and participate in CSE meetings as scheduled.
• Coordinate the creation of special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities; create and modify materials to match student abilities.
• Develop and coordinate the implementation of single and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom; oversee the collecting of behavior data; assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.

Requirements and Education:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's Degree preferred) or subject area, and ability to work with students who demonstrate serious emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21. General education certification with enrollment in a program that leads to special education certification may be considered.
• Requires that you acquire a NYS certification in Special Education or appropriate subject area, or enrollment in a program that leads to NYS teacher certification within one year of hire

As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will provide a safe, clean, and nurturing learning environment for children. You will report to an Early Head Start Supervising Teacher and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate classroom management skills, work as a part of a team, and complete records, reports, and data collection.
• Individualize curriculum based on each child's specific strengths and areas of need
• Facilitate screenings and ongoing assessments for assigned children
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
• Supervise and interact with children during family-style mealtimes and activities.
• Demonstrate respect for families' values, strengths, and culture by welcoming their contributions and participation, and designing learning experiences accordingly.
• Engage in training and learning opportunities, including those focused on learning and implementing curricula and classroom design and management

As a Teacher Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher in all aspects of teaching, behavior management, and supporting students success in school. You will report to the Preschool Supervising Teacher and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
• Assist the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities; create and modify materials to match student abilities.
• Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials to match student abilities.
• Monitor student behavior and help maintain discipline in the classroom; record behavior data as requested; assist with crisis prevention; assist with de-escalation techniques with students.
• Assist in the implementation of behavior plans (BIP); recording behavior data; and the completion of incident reports when requested.
• Monitor, supervise and assist students during non-instructional periods within a variety of school environments (e.g. lunch, recess/breaks, bus loading/unloading, playground, classroom, washroom, field trips, transportation, assemblies, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
• Assist in the implementation of Pyramid Model principles and practices in the classroom to build social and emotional competence and to support children through nurturing and responsive relationships and a high-quality environment.
• Attend meetings, training, professional learning sessions (e.g. first aid, Pyramid, CPR, emergency procedures, behavior management) for the purpose of enhancing professional skills, competencies and to meet regulatory requirements (OCFS regulations require 30 hours in 5 areas over 2 years).
• Perform various clerical duties; maintain records of student progress; develop and file incident reports; maintain student files; check daily attendance; make copies; develop classroom displays and instructional material; maintain and operate computers, smartboards and other classroom equipment.
• Collaborate with teacher and other staff to incorporate information provided by parents, doctors, nurses, therapists and others in order to understand the needs of and provide services for students.
• Assist the teacher(s) with the administration of appropriate assessment tools, tests, and other curriculum measurements.
• Always monitor safety and well-being of students; monitor student attitudes and encourage positive behavior and interactions with peers.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as requested by the teacher and Director.

As a per diem Preschool Teacher Aide - Substitute, you will work with teachers in the management of a preschool classroom by providing quality care to ages 3-5 following Agency philosophy, program performance standards and curriculum guidelines. As an Art Teacher, you will provide art education that follows the NYS standards to children grades K-12. You will report to the AssisPrincipalciple (Principal) and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and organize art materials and equipment,
• Provide therapeutic art instruction to individuals, small groups, and classrooms,
• Provide leadership in a variety of school-wide art events and activities,
• Work with school administration to deliver art experiences to students in a variety of school-wide venues on the agency campus,
• Provide subject area instruction (Art) that follows the NYS K-12 Art Curricula and provides students with appropriate level art lessons and age experiences.
• Develop and implement art instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels grades K-12.
• Provide leadership in the school for promoting Art activities and experiences for students. Work with teachers to encourage classroom, small group, and individual art activities, projects, and events.
• Follow school and agency procedures and policies for reporting incidents. This includes behavior incident reports (IR) and incidents such as child/sexual abuse, substance abuse, harassment, bullying, and violence.
