Sign on Bonus - $2,500

Available shifts - Monday - Friday between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm - no weekends

As a Teacher in Training, you will be responsible for development of classroom instructional plans for students and support student's success in academic and behavioral goals. You will report to the Principal and work on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a classroom instructional plan based on a students IEP and grade and subject area curricula; work with content area teachers to ensure that their lessons are differentiated as to meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for all students on their caseload. Ensure that accommodations and modifications are provided. Provide specially designed instruction and monitor student progress toward academic and behavioral goals. Complete progress reports and IEP updates, and participate in CSE meetings as scheduled.

• Manage and model the implementation of classroom PBIS universal components and Tier 2 and 3 strategies for selected students.
• Schedule and oversee teacher assistants as they assist students in multiple non-instructional environments.
• Provide leadership to assigned teacher assistants in the various clerical and non-instructional duties for your classroom.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, clinicians, administrators, medical staff and other school staff to provide integrated support, assistance, and treatment to students.

Requirements and Education:

• Bachelor's degree and/or New York State Certification as a Teacher Assistant.
• 2 years experience working with students in an educational setting.
• Certification/Licensure in progress for a Special Education Teacher.

Woodshop Teacher

**Sign On Bonus $5,000** - paid in 2 parts 1/2 at 30 days and 1/2 at a year - (the bonus only applies if you have a New State Teacher Certification)

As a woodshop teacher, you will teach students the knowledge needed to work with wood, including safety procedures, tool usage, and project construction. You will develop and implement lesson plans, provide hands-on instruction, and assess student progress. You will work with students of multiple ages and skill levels. You will report to the director of Curriculum, Instruction & CSE Chair and will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Instruction: Teach woodworking techniques, safety procedures, proper use of hand power tools and providing constructive feedback.
• Curriculum Development: Plan and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and student needs.
• Hands-on Training: Providing guidance to students as they work on projects, demonstrating techniques and troubleshooting issues.
• Safety Management: Enforce safety regulations and ensuring a safe learning environment in the woodshop.
• Assessment: Evaluate student progress, providing feedback, and tracking achievement of learning outcomes.

Requirements and Education:

• Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or anappropriate subject area, Teacher Certification, or eligible for a transitional certificate within 6 months of hire, or experienced woodworker willing to work towards transitional certificate with equivalent education required.

• Provide an inviting learning environment following the Creative Curriculum Foundations, NYS Early Learning Guidelines and other state and local curriculum documents.

As a Teacher Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher in all aspects of teaching, behavior management, and supporting students success in school. You will report to the Preschool Supervising Teacher and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
• Assist the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities; create and modify materials to match student abilities.
• Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials to match student abilities.

Early Head Start Teacher Aide - Substitute

Available shifts - Monday - Friday between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm - no weekends

As an Early Head Start Teacher Aide-substitute , you will work with Teachers in the management of Early Head Start classrooms by providing quality infant-toddler care in accordance with Agency philosophy, program performance standards and curriculum guidelines. You will report to an Early Head Start Enrollment Specialist & Supervising Teacher and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Use daily routines and observations to meet the strengths and needs of children.
• Work as a team member to facilitate the programs curriculum, procedures and philosophy.
• Help establish a safe environment and a positive emotional tone that is supportive of the individual childs feelings by interacting with them in a supportive way.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere to encourage and facilitate ongoing parent participation and involvement.
• Participate in staff training according to program staff training plan and policies.
• Report any suspected injuries immediately to classroom staff.
• Interact positively with and provide choices to children throughout the day.
• Assist in classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily.
• Assist children in safely exiting from Center during fire drills and any hazardous situations.
• Adhere to agency and program standards regarding child and families confidentiality and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

Requirements and Education:

• High school diploma
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill with infants and toddlers preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more.
• Must be available between 7am and 5 pm

Special Education Teacher

**Sign On Bonus $5,000** (paid in 2 parts 1/2 at 30 days and 1/2 at a year)**

Available shifts - Monday - Friday between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm - no weekends

As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement classroom instructional plans for students and support students success in academic and behavioral goals. You will report to the Assistant Principle and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations about our school and students.
• Develop and implement a classroom instructional plan based on a students IEP and grade and subject area curricula; work with content area teachers to ensure that their lessons are differentiated as to meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for all students on your caseload. Ensure that accommodations and modifications are provided. Provide specially designed instruction and monitor student progress toward academic and behavioral goals. Complete progress reports and IEP updates, and participate in CSE meetings as scheduled.
• Coordinate the creation of special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities; create and modify materials to match student abilities.
• Develop and coordinate the implementation of single and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom; oversee the collecting of behavior data; assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.

Requirements and Education:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's Degree preferred) or subject area, and ability to work with students who demonstrate serious emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21. General education certification with enrollment in a program that leads to special education certification may be considered.
• Requires that you acquire a NYS certification in Special Education or appropriate subject area, or enrollment in a program that leads to NYS teacher certification within one year of hire
