BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and supervises guest recreation activities and recreation areas. Promotes guest participation in House Activities and socializations amongst fellow guests to maximize guest enjoyment during their visit to Mohonk Mountain House and its environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Lead activities to ensure social interaction amongst the guests and to ensure a happy and safe environment.
•Use a PC to process payment and implementation of data into a software program
•Prepare materials and supplies for each activity.
•Program and plan activities for any time of the year.
•Participate in the planning and execution of special events (4th of July, Barnival, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and President’s Week)
•Demonstrate patience with children (age 2-17) and adults.
•Supervise up to 12 children per activity.
•Lead Arts and Crafts classes.
•Participate in the planning and execution of special events and holidays.
•Lead hikes, rock scrambles, snowshoe walks, and XC ski tours up to 5 miles.
•Lead snow tubing.
•Lead guests on a daily guided mountain bike ride up to 8 miles.
•Run sport tournaments and games. (Softball, croquet, volleyball, putting & etc.)
•Handle adversity, change and emergency situations calmly and with a level head.
•Analyze problems and develop and implement action plans to address problems.
•Rock scramble safely and negotiate and maneuver between tight spaces.
•Speak clearly to groups of 1-30 people.
•See close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
•Identify safety hazards and inspect the work of others by sight, sound, and/or smell. Ensure hazards are corrected.
• Speak, read and write the English language and communicate in a clear and congenial manner, with our guests, visitors and employees. Hear oral/auditory directions, instructions or warnings and give same warnings to others.
•Manipulate personal floatation devices (PFDs) and Shepard’s crook.
•Work in a manner that will not endanger self or others.
•Manipulate sports equipment.
•Memorize a history tour of the grounds, trails, and story of Mohonk and the Smiley Family.
•Creative mind with a good imagination.
•Demonstrate good disciplinary and interpersonal skills.
•Work productively and efficiently with or without supervision when performing routine tasks.Work in a manner that will not endanger self or others.
•Work the areas of Activities on a regular basis, such as: Wheelworks Bike Shop, Boat Dock, Information Summerhouse, Tennis, Campfires, and special events. (See individual job descriptions)
•Demonstrate comfortableness with lake ecology such as: inability to see the bottom of 60’ deep, snakes, frogs, turtles, and fish in size of approximately 11-20 inches.
•Work flexible or changing days and hours; including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasionally up to 14 hours per shift.
•Reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, stoop, twist and flex arms, walk up and down stairs/inclines, sit, climb up/down ladders or stand for up to 5 hours at a time.
• Lift up to 75 pounds from ground level to waist level and carry a distance of up to 100 feet with/ without assistance. Walk up to 10 miles per day.
•Maneuver carts or dollies safely with loads up to 200 pounds up and down stairs, elevators, through passageways or outdoors up to 75 feet/yards.
•Present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Mohonk Mountain House Dress and Grooming Standards.
•Demonstrate knowledge and appreciation of nature and the outdoors
•Answer guest questions with accurate information and demonstrate a friendly and helpful personality by smiling, eye contact, initiating conversation and engaging with others.
•Carry a two-way portable radio and earpiece to communicate and provide immediate response to emergency situations
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience or potential in a people-oriented job or potential for success in a people-oriented job preferred.
•Valid Driver’s License and at least 21 years of age, or 20 years of age with at least two years of licensed driving experience.
•CPR/First Aid certification strongly preferred.

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the Director of Finance, Director of Purchasing, Purchasing Manager and the Purchasing Coordinator in their duties in accordance with SBI Policies and Procedures. To perform these tasks in a confidential manner. Assistant function to include, but not limited to, computer processing of Purchase Orders, Accounting functions, research materials and quotations, place orders as assigned, make copies, monitoring print inventory.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Types, files, answers phone, makes copies, and acts as an Administrative Assistant for the Director of Finance, Director of Purchasing, Purchasing Manager and Purchasing Coordinator.
- Gathers past and present information on quantities and specifications for formulation of quotations.
- Reviews and ensures necessary guidelines are being followed on Purchase Requisitions prior to their being forwarded for final approval.
- Places orders via the most appropriate method available (i.e. phone, fax, email, online, etc.)
- Contacts vendors to confirm Mohonk orders were received by them and are being processed as requested.
- Maintains a log of all credit card purchases made for Auditors and Finance Office tracking.
- Tracks backordered or missing orders as communicated by Requestors.
- Places on-line orders, update credit card logs.
- Processes routine purchase orders in accordance with current purchasing policies.
- Maintains a log of open Purchase Orders.
- Expedites purchase orders that have not arrived on a timely basis, at the direction of Purchasing Director.
- Develops a working knowledge of the daily and weekly reports, such as Discount & Void Reports, Occupancy Reports and Food Trend as well as Period end beverage inventory and reports.
- Maintains a par stock of stationery including Purchasing and Shared copier supplies, toner cartridges and copy paper for entire Oak Cottage building.
- Maintains proper computer etiquette, including back up in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain confidentiality and use discretion and proper judgment in all matters, at all times.
- Maintains printed material in stock in an orderly manner, keeping up to date par levels plus delivering requested material to the Hotel.
- Performs basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and perform and record cash/credit transactions accurately.

What is the Supervisor – Tax Accounting?
This role is within the tax accounting division of the accounting group. The Supervisor in Tax Accounting will provide oversight and ownership, including active participation in the completion of all roles and responsibilities of the tax accounting department, including preparation of corporate tax budgets, accounting for tax accruals, and analysis of budget variations and projection of future budget variations.

This job posting is specific to our Substation Engineering and Operations Group. An Electric System Protection Engineer performs engineering assignments related to the design, construction, compliance, analysis and performance of the company’s electric system.
What does an Engineer - Electric System Protection do?
- Performs short circuit studies used to aid in the design of protection systems for transmission lines, transformers, bus work, and distribution circuits
- Develops reclosing and sectionalizing schemes for transmission lines and distribution circuits
- Develops automation and control schemes for substations
- Develops substation SCADA configurations for Remote Terminal Units (RTU’s)
- Assists in the development and reviews substation schematics
- Develops and maintains computer software and databases for studies and system protection needs
- Develops substation protection and control schemes for the safe integration of alternative energy sources, integrating current technology with future state goals for system reliability.
- Reviews relay and protection system operations for system events for correctness and recommends corrective action as required
- Manages large, complex projects with critical timelines, demonstrating improvement with each assignment and an ability to incorporate multiple unscheduled projects/assignments without negative impacts to previously assigned work/goals

Required:

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Dining Room Seating Host greets guests in a warm, friendly and sincere manner and escorts them to their table. They assist the Head Host with reservations and seating arrangements as well as relay pertinent information regarding guest requests to servers and management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greet guests, escort guests at their pace to table, pull seat out for the ladies, retrieve highchairs/boosters as necessary, inform/introduce guest of server’s name, and present menus and/or describe service process (i.e. buffet).
- Collect menus, inspect for cleanliness, recycle soiled menus, and organize reusable menus.
- Thank departing guests for dining at restaurant and offer an appropriate farewell.
- Communicate information accurately between Head Host/Management and server/server assistant.
- Take orders from guests for trail lunches, special occasion desserts, decorations and follow through on requests.
- Complete various opening duties- cleaning of public area, recycling paper, disposal of garbage, sanitizing high chairs and booster seats, lighting of fire in MDR fireplace, updating dining and activity sheet displays, etc.
- Bus tables and reset tables when necessary.
- Monitor table status and inform Head Host of table availability.
- Record data, including server counts, meal reports, and other information pertaining to guests free of errors and omissions.
- Inspect and organize tables and stations as well as label.
- Answer the phone in accordance with Mohonk Mountain House standards.
- Accept reservations by taking the following information: name of the guests, time, number of people in the party and contact information as well as Credit Card number if appropriate.
- Learn and demonstrate knowledge of operating hours of all food and beverage outlets, as well as other services available in the resort.
- Answer guest questions with accurate information and demonstrate a friendly and helpful personality by smiling, making eye contact, initiating conversation and engaging with others.
- Prepare a seating assignment before each meal period, considering special requests of guests and preferred needs of regular guests. Present this to all restaurant staff in the pre-shift meeting. Advise manager of any VIP’s.
- Handle any guest requests or complaints within reason or refers to Manager on shift if needed.
- Maintain work area in a professional manner. Ensure that noise levels in all areas are kept to a minimum.
