Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Director of Consumer Lending Operations. Primary Function: Responsible for the effective management of the Consumer Lending Department consisting of Underwriters, Processors, Servicers, Business partners, and member service. Accountable for quality control, efficiencies, budget management and all Credit Union goals and objectives for Consumer Lending.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of the Consumer Loan process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and superior member service in the process.
- Oversee the direct and indirect consumer lending operations to ensure the application through servicing is compliant, efficient and accurate and provides a superior member service experience.
- Manage an indirect dealer compensation program that is in alignment with the Credit Union’s philosophy, encourages loan growth and ensures loan asset quality.
- Research trends and developments within the Credit Union and the broader consumer market.
- Perform on-going analysis of consumer loan programs to measure competitiveness and recommend changes or modifications as necessary.
- Assume responsibility for the credit quality and ongoing soundness of the consumer lending portfolio, including accurate and complete credit files, ongoing quality control and acceptable loan reviews.
- Mentor team members to develop and expand their underwriting, processing, servicing, and management skills.
- Establish relationships with external business partners to source Consumer Loan participations for purchase established by credit union polices.
- Cultivate relationships with other Lending AVPs in the credit unions to establish service levels and loan quality.
- Engage in strategic planning, research, development and implementation of new consumer loan products and services to ensure the Credit Union remains competitive within the market.
- Adhere to all regulatory and Credit Union policies, guidelines and procedures, promptly following up on any documentation and collateral exceptions.
- Develop and monitor annual goals for consumer loan origination/production. Provide input to the lending marketing plan and recommends appropriate tactics to help department meet/exceed goals.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the preparation of fresh and wholesome hot buffet foods for breakfast and lunch for a hotel serving up to 2500 meals per day ensuring a smooth operation, proper sanitation, and sound management of three to ten employees.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assume responsibility for the overall production of hot breakfast items, lunch, and additional hot banquet preparations served for both breakfast and lunch.
- Open kitchen and coordinate all hot food preparations for breakfast, and lunch, ensuring food is presented in accordance with company specifications.
- Work with Front of the house buffet staff to ensure opening timelines are met for the Main dining room and lower dining rooms.
- Oversee hot food garnishes and ensure that all buffet foods are replenished in a timely manner.

The Comptroller is responsible for analyzing and overseeing the Town of Fishkill’s accounting and budgeting functions, including a variety of routine and complex transactions, analytical, administrative, financial and technical records and to assist in preparing, reviewing and maintaining the Town’s Operating and Capital Budgets (All Funds). This position performs professional accounting and auditing services enforcing internal accounting controls and compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. The Comptroller is required to exercise considerable independent judgment in administering and managing the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control. The incumbent works under the administrative supervision of the Town Supervisor and reports to the Town Board.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
- Prepares and executes the annual Town Budget;
- Maintains records of appropriations, encumbrances, and expenditures, and prescribes approved methods of accounting for all units of local government;
- Certifies the availability of funds for all requisitions, contracts, purchase orders and other documents for which the municipality incurs financial obligations;
- Prescribes the form of receipts, vouchers, bills and claims otherwise prescribed by the State Comptroller;
- Supervises/manages the Finance Department staff; including training and staff development;
- Performs audits and certifies for payment all lawful claims or charges;

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Good knowledge of financing, major economic objectives and policies; good knowledge of budget preparation and financial forecasts; knowledge of the law as it pertains to towns in the State of New York; knowledge of internal auditing and process re-engineering; knowledge of insurance coverage and protection against property losses and potential liabilities; strong interpersonal skills and comfortable with interacting with all levels of Town management; and ability to supervise a staff of administrative, accounting and clerical employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5-10 years of accounting or auditing experience including governmental accounting experience. Bachelor degree in accounting or business administration/related field or equivalent work experience. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Is responsible for and directs all mechanical work, equipment, tools, inventory, systems, and operations, as well assigned personnel under the guidance of the Director of Plant Operations ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*CF indicates Critical Function) Working with DPO and Marketing Dept. maintains “Ownership” of vacant turnover process, results, 60 day turnover timeframe Develops and maintains on-hand inventory of parts, tools, etc. to allow for efficient and effective vacant unit readiness – appliances, lighting, fixtures, etc. (*CF) Coordinates and communicates with Marketing, Finance, Administration and others to ensure effective prioritization of vacant readiness efforts Performs hands-on maintenance tasks in vacant units, independently and with others, – lighting and fixture updates and replacements, kitchen installation, bathroom renovation (*CF) Directs activities of staff assigned to work in vacant units. – Project Tech, Maint Tech, Maint Asst, etc. Effectively communicates with other departments, contractors and suppliers, through email and or other electronic means – Email, Word, Excel, Worxhub, etc. (*CF) Acts as the point of contact and control for all contractors and suppliers needed to render units ready – Flooring, painters, countertops, cabinets, etc. (*CF) Sources needed materials and equipment, purchases as approved, prepares PRFs for DPO approval (*CF) Works with DPO ensure proper due diligence in procurement of items, materials and services for vacant readiness Coordinates and is responsible for after move-in punch list items Maintains good relations with vendors, suppliers, and other departments. Is a main resource to assigned maintenance staff and supervisors for trade practices, knowledge, repair methodology and material selection Uses and operates the computerized work order system: inventory, assignment, scheduling and follow up for all mechanical items and assigned staff (*CF) Adheres to WPNP purchasing policies and procedures (*CF) Completes all required training and in-services All other duties as assigned GENERAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES Maintains high standards for work areas, attitude and appearance Understands that honesty and ethics are essential in the performance of duties Respectful of confidentially and privileged communications Willing to learn and grow, take courses, gain knowledge as needed Maintain functional knowledge and abilities through training and industry awareness, advise and encourage assigned staff of training and educational opportunities.
