Job Summary | The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, is amid a planned multi-year renewal of its faculty and mission. As part of this renewal, we seek applications for the Frank and Lillian Gilbreth Endowed Chaired and Tenured Full Professorship in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer. Building on the department’s impressive history and tradition, we seek faculty who are uncovering knowledge and creating solutions to important societal problems, collaborating across disciplines, and integrating their innovations into classrooms. As an English /Language Arts Teacher, you will develop and implement the English/Language Arts classroom instructional plans for students. You will report to the principle and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject area instruction (English/Language Arts) that follow the NYS K-12 English/Language Arts curricula and prepares students for exit examinations and statewide assessments.
- Develop and implement English/Language Arts instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels. At the high school level develop lessons, teach, and prepare students for examinations in English/Language Arts.
- Develop and implement a classroom instructional plan with the Special Education Teacher that integrates the students IEP goals and objectives, learning style. as well as accommodations and modifications that are needed.
- Develop and implement with the Special Education Teacher, individual and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the Classroom; assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom with de-escalation techniques; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.
- Use the classroom PBIS universal plan and Tier 2 and 3 strategies for selected students.
- Manage and coordinate the safety and well-being of students through the use of established classroom and schoolwide processes and procedures; supervise classroom staff implementing these with their work with students throughout the building.
- Follow school and agency procedures and policies for reporting incidents. This includes behavior incident reports as well as incidents such as child/sexual abuse, substance abuse, harassment, bullying, and violence.
- Establish positive relationships with parents and family members to create a partnership around student treatment, student behavior, and academic progress.
- Participate in classroom grade level, and behavioral/treatment meetings as well as professional training and development sessions(e.g. TCI, CPR, emergency procedures and other agency requirements).
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
- Provide leadership to assigned teacher assistants in various clerical and non-instructional duties as need for your classroom.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, clinicians, administrators, medical staff, and other school staff to provide integrated support, assistance, and treatment to students.

Licensed Social Workers are eligible for a $7500 signing bonus
As a Clinician in the Youth ACT program, you will help children avoid hospitalizations and out-of-home placements by providing intensive, community-based services to these youth and families. The youth served by Youth ACT have not found success in traditional mental health and community treatment. Our Clinicians are part of a tight-knit multi-disciplinary team that meets daily to provide medication treatment, therapy, skill building, and psychoeducational support to youth and families to meet all of their needs. You will report to the Director of Youth ACT and you will work on-site and in the community traveling to client's homes required.
Responsibilities:
- A shared caseload and ample supervision and support to provide intensive services to the 36 youth and families that the team serves overall, meeting the client where they are in the community, rather than in a clinical office setting.

Job Summary | The Program Administrator, Sr manages activities of the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development at RPI, also known as the Digital Gaming Hub, administered through the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of youth and families struggling with behavioral health issues? Do you want to develop and supervise your own team and mentor your staff to improve their clinical skills? As the Team Lead of Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI), you will provide clinical supervision, support, and mentorship to your team to help them change lives. The HBCI team provides short-term (up to 6 weeks), intensive intervention to youth and families who are in crisis. We work with parents and caregivers to help them help their children. The short-term format means the work is fast-paced and outcome oriented, which means you and your team will produce meaningful outcomes in a short period of time. You will report to the Chief of Crisis Services and work on-site with travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision to the team and be responsible for allocation of staff time; provide training and ensure all team members are kept informed of issues.
- Monitor caseload size and coordinate program intakes and discharges.
- Create rotating call schedule for after-hours / weekend coverage by team members.
- Provide education and outreach to the community about HBCI at Northern Rivers; philosophy, program outcomes, theoretical background etc.
- Develop collaborative relationships with other agencies, schools, hospitals, primary care providers, and local government agencies to help meet the needs of this population so they can achieve and maintain their independence.
- Assist primary clinicians to conduct needs assessments, safety planning and wellness management planning with participants. Connect participants and families with the services and support they need. Provide psychoeducation regarding mental health diagnosis and treatment. Develop treatment using a shared decision-making process with clients.
- Assist primary clinicians to respond to on-call needs of families in crisis and deliver crisis intervention services in home-based environment with flexible scheduling cognizant of family needs, with 24/7 availability nights, weekends and holidays.
- Promote safety of the child, family, and community in the delivery of crisis intervention services.
- Assist primary clinicians to conduct comprehensive assessment of family strengths, values, skills, problems, need and barriers to goal attainment while developing a positive working relationship with the families.
- Collaborate and advocate with formal and information community resources and systems that impact family while teaching family members to advocate for themselves and prepare them for transition and service closure.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Master’s degree and at least one year of progressively responsible related experience. Experience in a home-based and/or crisis intervention services program. Candidates with training in the Homebuilder model of crisis intervention are preferred.
- Must be a licensed mental health professional. These include, but are not limited to: Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Clinical/Masters Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, or Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.

Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist serves as the primary point of contact in the Office of the President for visitors and callers and is responsible for ensuring that all parties receive prompt, professional and courteous attention when contacting the President’s Office. About EMPAC | Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center “The concert hall of the 21st century has arrived. But in addition, the huge building, laid out on a hillside, houses a 400-seat theater with comparable versatility; two black-box studios, one geared more toward sound, the other toward sight; and space for rehearsals and other uses. And for their electronic and data needs, all these components have access to one of the world’s biggest supercomputers.” The New York Times (10/08/2008) At the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Institute), the arts, sciences, and technology meet under one roof in four exceptional venues. This incredible 220,000 square foot building, designed by London-based Grimshaw Architects, opened in 2008 and is an unmatched model of acoustics, infrastructure, and architectural engineering with state-of-the-art performing arts infrastructure and architectural engineering. EMPAC’s concert hall features 1,165 seats with the ability to sculpt the acoustical soundscape for musical performances and equipment for screens, projections, and staging elements. Job Summary | The Executive Director of EMPAC will guide and deliver on its mission and vision as a global center at the intersection of the arts, science, and technology. They will be accountable for a strategic direction, business model, and adaptive change that are in alignment with the Institute’s Rensselaer Forward plan, including the goal to create the most welcoming and inclusive community possible for faculty, staff, students, and the external community EMPAC serves. The Executive Director will maintain a presence both on and off campus by actively participating in the community and establishing international visibility at relevant conferences and other events that increase exposure and access to artists that could curate, produce, or be presented by EMPAC. These activities are focused on preserving an integrated interdisciplinary pedagogical approach to research, programs, and campus events that inspire active participation by faculty and students in and attendance at EMPAC. The Executive Director will partner with each of the School Deans and Institute Administration to coordinate student learning outcomes, activating EMPAC as a hub for student learning on campus. They will oversee, inspire, and collaborate with a dedicated staff while investing in them and securing the resources that ensure EMPAC remains at the forefront of technological advancements. In collaboration with Institute Advancement and the President, the Executive Director will establish and maintain a portfolio of donor relationships that support the capital and operating needs of EMPAC, including its facilities, programs, and research. Qualifications | Qualifications The successful candidate will have a minimum of a master’s degree, or equivalent experience, and 8-10 years of senior management expertise in commissioning, promoting, programming, producing, and/or presenting contemporary music, theater, dance, multi-media, or other experimental creative industry initiatives. A comprehensive understanding of associated production, capacity utilization (both venue and staff), audience development, and venue management is important. Although experience in an academic environment is helpful, those with demonstrable results in nonprofit or corporate structures are welcome to pursue this unique opportunity. Supervisor: Vice President for College Relations
Position Purpose:Plays a pivotal role within the College Relations department, responsible for overseeing the efficient utilization and maintenance of the constituent management system. - Strategic Alignment: Acts as the primary liaison for College Relations with Finance and Information Technology Services (ITS) to foster collaboration and ensure strategic alignment. Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $100,000 - $115,000. Clinician, Foster Care
MSW's with Limited Permit are eligible for $2500 signing bonus

As a Foster Clinician, you will provide clinical services to children in foster care and support foster families, and families within the foster care system. The Therapeutic Foster Family Program provides foster and pre-adoptive foster homes for abused and neglected children from birth through age 21. Each foster parent receives intensive training and ongoing professional support to promote a positive, successful experience. You will report to the Clinical Supervisor and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, treatment planning and general counseling for children in foster care.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and families, when needed
- Conduct specialized risk assessments
- Consult with other staff involved in the care of the child and families
- Attend all case related meetings (Counsel on Special Education, Termination of Parental Rights, staff meetings, service provider meetings, emergency meetings, court), for cases they are serving
- Participate in formal and informal supervision.
- Meet regularly in the community regarding cases they are seeing for general counseling.
- Have regular communication/meeting with birth families around progress/problems of children in care and how to support them in and work towards permanency.
- Provide regular case documentation for all children and families on workload including assessments, progress notes, Family Service Plan, etc.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Master’s degree in counseling with related experience.
- Limited permit is required; professional licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT) preferred.

Description
As a Greenhouse Coordinator, you will development and implementation of the botanical classroom instructional plans for students. You will report to the Transition Learning Coordinator and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject area instruction (Green house and plan based botanical) that provides students with appropriate level lessons and age experiences.
- Develop and implement instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels grades 8 -12.
- Provide leadership in the school for promoting green house and gardening activities and experiences for students. Work with teachers to encourage classroom, small group, and individual activities, projects, and events.
- Coordinate the selection, ordering, and management of materials and equipment for the greenhouse and greenhouse related activities in conjunction with the school principal.
- Collect and organize program data for grant proposals and reports and assists in writing grants.
- Assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques with appropriate; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.
- Represent the greenhouse and gardens at relevant conferences, community events andnetworking opportunities. Conduct workshops, tastings, classroom activities and garden clubs.
- Manage and coordinate the safety and well-being of students through the use of established classroom and schoolwide processes and procedures; supervise classroom staff in implementing these with their work with students throughout the building.
- Follow school and agency procedures and policies for reporting incidents. This includes behavior incident reports (IR) and incidents such as child/sexual abuse, substance abuse, harassment, bullying, and violence.
- Establish relationships with parents and family members to create a partnership around student treatment, student behavior, and academic progress.
- Participate in classroom grade level, and behavior/treatment meetings as well as professional training and development sessions (e.g. TCI, CPR, emergency procedures and other agency requirements.
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
- Facilitate partnership between the greenhouse activities and gardens through home and school education programs by coordinating community workshops, recruiting home garden volunteers.
- Work with other teachers, clinicians, administrators, medical staff and other school staff to provide integrated support, assistance, and treatment to students.
- Assist with supervision of school-to-work program activities as needed.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or other related field with experience with greenhouse operation.
- Prefer experience teaching in a greenhouse environment.
