Description
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care and services to a youth and adolescent population with emotional, behavioral and physical needs using the nursing process (assessing, diagnosing,planning, implementing, and evaluating). You will report to the Nursing Manager and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Complete the nursing assessment, evaluation and treatment plan of care for the physical and behavioral/emotional health of the residents
- Case management of outside provider visits (medical and dental) including annual assessments
- Review lab and test results, reporting critical values to providers
- Medication management including ordering medications and obtaining prior authorizations
- Dispense medications; report/discuss observed side effects or other concerns with consulting psychiatrist
- Provide client and family education regarding medications and treatments\
- Collaborate with our staff regarding concerns and behaviors
- Communicate with medical director/providers regarding changes in client’s health/behavior
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Medication Review meetings
- Nursing and medical documentation using EHR
- Provide training to residential counselor staff regarding reporting/recording of observedbehaviors and possible side effects relating to medications

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Transition Coordinator, you will coordinate transition services and instruction to enable students to reach their fullest potential and be able to live, learn and earn in their community as an adult. You will report to the Program Manager and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Work with NHS staff, Clinical staff, Parents/guardians, outside service providers and identified students to:
- Design a realistic discharge plan that is guided by each youth’s wishes, hopes and dreams
- Coordinate your client driven discharge planning process with local OCFS, OMH, and NYSED representatives that supports a client-driven plan which integrates housing, health and medical care, education and employment needs.
- Coordinate a set of vocational and transitional related activities including instruction, community experiences, employment and volunteer experiences, and the acquisition of daily living skills.
- Examine/identify post secondary vocational training options
- Respectfully honor each youth’s feelings about past and current relationships and ensure that when needed individuals will have the opportunity to work on issues of grief, loss and enduring relationships
- Complete a Permanency Pact and identify specific people who agree to offer life long supports (either related or not)
- Develop a Circle of Supportand identify specific people who agree to advocate for and support the student during the transition process
- Promote active involvement of identified students in planning and implementing the transition component of their IEP.
- Coordinate services to ensure that each identified student has an accurate Work Skills Employability Profile and earns a Regents Certificate of Work Readiness upon graduation from the Neil Hellman School
- Coordinate transition portfolios for each identified student.
- Provide 6 months of follow up and maintain post-NHS discharge statistics for each identified student.
- Attend and participate in all treatment reviews, case reviews and CSE meetings for identified student
- Complete all documentation in a thorough and timely manner

The Behavioral Health program and the Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a shared role working between our Schenectady NY location and our Rensselaer NY location. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive Psychiatric services to adults and youth who are enrolled in our outpatient clinic program and a 28-person caseload of youth enrolled in our Youth ACT program. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Must be able to seechildren.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric services to youth enrolled in Youth ACT and adults and youth enrolled in our BehavioralHealth Clinic as assigned
- Provide consultation to staff on diagnostic and treatment questions
- Participate in formal and informal training and education to staff
- Prescribe medications, monitor, and review of drug regimen for enrolled individuals
- Participate in quality assurance activities, consult with the Youth ACT Team in developing and reviewing service plans for all Youth ACT enrolled individuals
- Provide clinical expertise, consultation, and technical assistance to the Youth ACT Team/Behavioral Health, cooperate with the County and participate in any quality audit and utilization review
- Provide on-site/community based/home visits medication evaluations and reviews for Youth ACT enrolled participants.
Education and/or Experience:
- Requires Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Must have a minimum of one year experience working with youth and adults diagnosed with mental illness.
- Must be fully licensed Nurse Practitionerin the State of New York.
You Have, or are willing to get:
- National Provider Identification (NPI) - issued by the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). All electronic prescriptions in NYS require an NPI. Claims processing functions also require the NPI of nurse practitioners and physicians.
- Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number– issued by the United States Department of Justice Department DEA to nurse practitioners and physicians to prescribe controlled substances. DEA registration must be renewed every three years for those issued a prescriber registration.
- NYS Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement (NYS DOH BNE) registration – issued by the NYS DOH BNE to nurse practitioners and physicians to prescribe controlled substances. NYS DOH BNE registration must be renewed every two years for those issued a prescriber registration.
- NYS Medicaid Enrollment - in cases in which a Prescriber is prescribing to a NYS Medicaid enrolled client. Revalidation must occur at least every five years.

Job Summary | The Director of Real Estate directs all activities associated with land management/leases; real estate revenue activities; building and land acquisition/sales; building and land appraisals; all Rensselaer property-related tax payments; Rensselaer tax exemption requirements; and special activities, that include leases and subleases of external facilities, fraternity/sorority land/building leases and finances; estate activities and community issues. This will comprise extensive collaboration with multiple portfolios including the Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation (OSAT), Provost, Student Life, OCEC, and Finance. Programs that cultivate community and regional relationships and foster an exchange of ideas between community leaders, industry partners, researchers and students. As a Program Supervisor, you will be responsible for the administrative and programmatic oversight of a Foster Care team. You will oversee staff, the foster families associated with the office and maintain agency resource relationships within the counties the foster care program supports. You will report to the Director of Foster Care and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise multistage foster care treatment teams in areas of intake and ongoing treatment planning for foster youth and foster families.
- Ensure the diligent efforts made to reach permanency of foster children in placement.
- Coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary team comprised of permanency care managers, and clinical and nursing departments to fulfill these goals of permanency, safety, and wellbeing for our children in care.
- Provide regular supervision and complete performance evaluations of program staff such as Permanency Care Managers, Family Support Workers, and Administrative Assistants in the program.

- Develop and maintain relationships with outside agencies for resources to program.

As a Science Teacher, you will develop and implement Science classroom instructional plans for students. You will provide subject area instruction (Science) that follow the NYS K-12 Science Curricula and prepare students for exit examinations and statewide assessments. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement science instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels, and at the high school level develop, teach, and assess laboratory experiences for Earth Science, Living Environment, and/or Environmental Science.

- Participate in classroom grade level, and behavior/treatment meetings and professional training and development sessions (e.g. TCI, CPR, emergency procedures and other agency requirements).

Job Summary | The Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of Quantum Computing, Quantum Information, and Quantum Technology, with focus on the fundamental aspects or applications of quantum computation, scalability, and error correction on current and future quantum computing devices. Research areas can include but not limited to quantum entanglement, decoherence, and noise in quantum networks, with applications to quantum cryptography, quantum encryption, and secure quantum communications in noisy environments. Possible related areas would also include studying and exploiting the fundamental connections between Quantum Monte Carlo and Quantum Computing, simulating quantum field theory and many-body theory with a quantum computer (in particular, simulating systems with a “sign” problem), quantum communication networks, exotic quantum dynamics, quantum sensing protocols, exotic quantum phases of matter, and theory on the nature of information at the quantum level. With the anticipated of arrival of the IBM Quantum System One on our campus, this hire will have access to explore and implement some of these challenging problems. This hire would be part of a bold effort at RPI to strengthen and extend our current faculty cluster in Quantum Information, and would interact with our current faculty on quantum optics and photon entanglement, quantum field-theory, quantum fluctuations in networks, as well as with researchers from Computer Science, ECSE, Future of Computing Institute, and with the future hires of the recently announced Quantum Constellation. The position also represents a response to federal priorities expressed in the National Quantum Initiative Act. The successful candidate will establish/maintain and externally funded research program, participate in collaborative, multi-investigator research and research training initiatives, and contribute to the high impact teaching program in the Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy. Postdoctoral research experience and a strong early record of publication in leading journals is preferred. The candidate is expected to work in an interdisciplinary and collaborative research environment. |

**Sign On Bonus $5,000** (paid in 2 parts 1/2 at 30 days and1/2 at a year)
As an Art Teacher, you will provide art education that follows the NYS standards to children grades K-12. You will report to the Assistant Principal (Principal) and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize art materials and equipment,
- Provide therapeutic art instruction to individuals, small groups, and classrooms,
- Provide leadership in a variety of school-wide art events and activities,
- Work with school administration to deliver art experiences to students in a variety of school-wide venues on the agency campus,
- Provide subject area instruction (Art) that follows the NYS K-12 Art Curricula and provides students with appropriate level art lessons and age experiences.
- Develop and implement art instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels grades K-12.
- Provide leadership in the school for promoting Art activities and experiences for students. Work with teachers to encourage classroom, small group, and individual art activities, projects, and events.
- Follow school and agency procedures and policies for reporting incidents. This includes behavior incident reports (IR) and incidents such as child/sexual abuse, substance abuse, harassment, bullying, and violence.

- Provide leadership to assigned teacher assistants in the various clerical and non-instructional duties or needed for your classroom.

As a Foster Care Home Finder, you will recruit, train, certify, and maintain foster and pre-adoptive foster homes to children from birth through age 21 who have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care. Each foster parent receives training and ongoing professional support to promote a positive, successful experience. Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in community activities and events to recruit foster parents
- Participate in developing an active recruitment plan for recruiting foster parents
- Handle inquiries and applications from potential foster parents
- Facilitate all orientation meetings with potential foster parents
- Complete all paperwork for the certification process
- Prepare and present NTDC training for potential foster parents
- Assess families’ ability to foster children as it relates to the 14 Characteristics of Successful Parents who Foster or Adopt
- Complete home studies for all recommended foster homes
- Conduct safety assessments to assure the health and safety of foster homes
- Facilitate agency pre-certification trainings
- Maintain certified foster family records
- Handle the recertification process, including development of yearly reauthorization narrative with each family, assessing strengths and needs of the foster home
- Provide ongoing training and support for certified parents in conjunction with the foster care team
- Check with certified families on quarterly basis to monitor strengths and needs of the foster home
- Consult with Program Coordinator on homes and placement of children
- Coordinate annual holiday party and a foster parent appreciation event as retention efforts

Job Summary | The Economic and Industry Analyst will analyze and make recommendations for progress of the sustainable fashion industry, from farms and new materials to processing to brands and design, in New York State and in general (in the U.S. and worldwide). The Analyst will review and keep abreast of pertinent studies and research, and will seek information from industry data sources, carry out interviews and surveys, and analyze and interpret the information. The work is based at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as part of the Fashion Innovation Center (FIC). The Analyst will interact with FIC members and participants to learn about the industry, discuss sustainable fashion industry problems and potential solutions, consider ways to advance the industry in New York State, and document relevant information and findings in report, paper, and/or book form. The Analyst will also provide suggestions where relevant to innovative project participants in the FIC’s accelerator. The Analyst will work closely with the Center Director and other FIC members. |
Minimum Qualifications | Doctorate (ex: Ph.D./J.D./Ed.D. or other) in Economics, Management, or a related field Experience in economics and/or management including research study design and interpretation, econometric and statistical analysis, and data collection.
