Administrative Assistant, Community Solutions
As an Administrative Assistant with the Sexual Abuse Treatment Program (SATP) and Prevention program, you will perform clerical functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and providing information to callers. You will report to the Program Coordinator and you will work onsite in this part-time position for 30 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Maintain program shared electronic calendars (daily).
- Process staff requests for assistance with copying, correspondence, and mailings.
- Maintain effective work relationships with Agency colleagues and engage in constructive communication both within and outside the Agency.
- Have thorough working knowledge of the program operations and functions.
- Follow Agency policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality in all administrative matters.
- Provide supervision to clients in the waiting area.
- Maintain professional boundaries when interacting with clients and staff.
- Assist clients with scheduling transportation to and from their appointments; specifically communicate with the taxi company to arrange pick up and drop offs, and managing the billing process for the scheduled taxi trips.
- Order program supplies.
- Perform program audits and file maintenance.
- Utilize program reports to track program enrollment and discharges for billing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Education:
- Associates degree preferred and two years of office related experience, or High School Diploma/GED with two or more years experience required.

Description
As an Agricultural Sciences Teacher, you will instruct and supervise students in horticulture, plant sciences, landscaping, and floral design.As part of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, you will work with the Greenhouse Coordinator to provide work-based learning experiences with labs and project-based learning activities to enhance learning opportunities for students with diverse needs.You will collaborate in the curriculum development, program details, preparation of materials, and details of planning and implementation as The Neil Hellman School (NHS) applies for initial CTE. You will report to the Work Based Learning Coordinator and work onsite in the Bella Greenhouse & Educational Center and outdoors among our acres of land.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject area instruction that provides students with appropriate level lessons and age experiences.
- Develop and implement instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels, grades K-12.
- Utilize various teaching methodologies and technologies to address diverse learning styles and needs.
- Manage classroom, greenhouse, mechanical equipment, supplies, and facilities.
- Serve as a liaison between NHS and the broader agricultural community.
- Help students receive industry certifications.
- Participate on the CTE Advisory Board.
- Assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
- Manage and coordinate students' safety and well-being through established classroom and schoolwide processes and procedures; supervise classroom staff in implementing these with their work with students throughout the building.
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
Requirements and Education:
- A CTE certification in Agricultural Education, or
- At least three years industry-related work experience may apply, they must receive the transitional certification.
- Experience developing and implementing project-based learning initiatives.

As a Part-Time Case Manager, Regional Permanency Resource Center you will provide supportive services and case management services to adoptive, guardianship and kinship families so they are able to make informed decisions with regards to services and supports that best meet their needs. You will report to the Case Manager Supervisor. You will work in a hybrid environment with some travel to client's homes in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Function as a systems navigator to families who have adopted or who have children in guardianship or kinship care through the provision ofcase management.
- Meet with families in their home to assess needs
- Assess needs, conduct service planning, service plan implementation, service coordination, monitoring and follow-up, reassessment and review with the family via in-home or community monthly visits. Services include but are not limited to information and referral services; referral to legal services; attendance at family court dates; transportation; housing assistance; childcare; basic family needs (vital needs in emergencies and with expenses that are unforeseen); educational advocacy services; and facilitating appointments with social services, medical health providers, and mental health services.
- Respond to the request for in home support referrals for resources and services
- Provide crisis intervention supports when needed
- Work with family to access needed respite services
- Conduct follow up contacts with families at prescribed intervals
- Participate in family engagement activities
- Co-lead support groups
- Participate in training programs offered by the program as assigned
- Use lived experience to empathize and provide hope. Preference for someone with experience with kinship, adoption or guardianship as a youth or in a parenting role.
- Maintain records including required data collection information according to the program standards and expectations. Case Managers must maintain Evolv record with progress notes and all pertinent documentation, a discharge summary and post-case closure documentation.
- Participate as a trainer in programs in the community, to increase understanding of the needs of families who have adopted or have children in guardianship or kinship care
- Complete risk assessments as required by Northern Rivers Quality Management Department
Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor’s level degree in social work, psychology, or human services, or a bachelor’s level degree in any field with at least two years of case management experience; or an associate’s level degree in psychology or human services with at least two years of case management experience.

Job Summary | The NORDTECH Hub has a collection of distributed tooling and process capabilities provided by NORDTECH prototyping and core facilities. As the Facility Coordinator for the NORDTECH Hub, you coordinate facility activities within the NORDTECH community, and develop and maintain detailed knowledge of all capabilities at the prototyping and core facility sites in order to serve as a Hub subject matter expert. The Facilities Coordinator will coordinate the work plans between facilities while monitoring the progress of the projects. In addition, the coordinator works closely with the NORDTECH leadership team and facility advising committee to create a comprehensive description of the facility capabilities and define best practices for transition through and across facilities. The coordinator will be responsible for updating metrics on NORDTECH-resourced facility capabilities, status, and access processes for NORDTECH projects and making this data available to NORDTECH members. |

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Family Support Worker, you will work as part of the Short-term Services Program which was developed as an intensive case-management service to rapidly resolve the concrete and referral needs of families entering the Child Welfare System. By successfully resolving these issues within 90 days of admission, families are at a reduced risk for being referred to Long-term CPS. Services are provided in the office, home, school, and community. You will report to the Coordinator of Short-term Services and will work onsite with community-based travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload.
- Complete all required trainings, participate in supervision with supervisor and attend required meetings and in-services as directed by supervisor.
- Establish positive and professional relationships with families.
- Model and demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Work with SCDSS case managers to identify service needs of at-risk families.
- Have a thorough knowledge of community services in Schenectady County.
- Help families obtain services they need by making referrals, providing transportation, accompanying them to appointments, assisting with applications (medical, schools, DSS, etc.).
- Maintain good working relationships with DSS/Support Unit caseworkers.
- Complete progress notes or other case record notes promptly.
- Maintain cultural sensitivity, competence and client confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.

As part of this renewal, we seek applications for the Frank and Lillian Gilbreth Endowed Chaired and Tenured Full Professorship in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer. Job Summary | The Lead Business Administrator will oversee assigned business functions in the School of Engineering. The Lead Business Administrator will be responsible for overseeing financial management of research in the portfolio including building processes and tools to assist faculty and portfolio leadership with planning and forecasting.
