Supervisor:Director of the Academic Opportunity Program / Higher Education Opportunity Program.
Position Purpose: Provides clerical, administrative and project support to the Academic Opportunity Program / Higher Education Opportunity Program. Duties include purchasing and supply ordering; maintaining shared records; assisting with coordination of the AOP Summer Program; coordinating event logistics; and serving as receptionist for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Office Support: Provides support for office associated activities: managing files in shared Google drive; screening and handling telephone communications; maintaining office equipment (student computers, copiers, telephones); ordering and organizing necessary office supplies; greeting and directing visitors; managing and creating content for department website / social media sites. Serves as a primary point of direct administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and external institutions and agencies on a range of issues. Supervises, trains and hires student employees.
- Administration: Manages purchasing for the office, including ordering supplies; processing credit card purchases and expense reports; processing payment requests and departmental fund transfers. Organizes, processes and analyzes department data, including assisting with entering data into reports, and preparing rosters in spreadsheets. Assists administrative colleagues with other College assignments as needed and during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
- Event & Travel Coordination: Manages all office logistics regarding events, banquets, and workshops under the general supervision of the Director of AOP/HEOP (i.e. makes campus contacts with room reservations, dining services, instructional technology or any other campus contact necessary for organizing events). Assists with coordinating travel for AOP/HEOP students, including purchasing tickets for flights, trains, and buses, as well as coordinating transportation services through Union’s transportation office.
- AOP Summer Program: In conjunction with other AOP staff, assist with coordination of the AOP Summer Program.
Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent and two to three years of administrative experience, preferably in an academic setting, or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and work experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment carrying out administrative duties.
Extensive computer skills, such as working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google docs).
Ability to use and learn new software quickly.
Familiarity with web content management systems.
Ability to work onsite in an office setting including ability to stand and sit for extended periods.

Compensation:
The rate for this position is $18.50 per hour. Administration: Manages video preparation, filming, editing and uploading for games and practices. Coordinates all team meals. Assists Administrative Assistant with all office tasks. Partners with College Relations to build relationships and connection efforts with alumni. Assists in organizing team community service plan.
Recruiting: Assists in recruiting of prospective student-athletes, including management of recruiting data and information via ARMS software.

Licensed Social Workers or Mental Health professionals are eligible for a $7500 signing bonus!
As a Clinician in the Families Work program, you will maintain a caseload of five families and meet with each weekly. Families Work provides six to nine months of intensive services to families whose children either are at risk of being removed from their homes or are already in placement. Families Work also facilitates parent education groups using Incredible Years and Active Parenting curricula. The goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement for children, provide a safe environment to return children already in placement, and prevent future out-of-home placement. You will report to the Program Coordinator and work in a combination of on-site and remote with travel to client's homes required within Columbia County. You will work Monday through Friday with a flexible schedule, where you work independently but with a supportive team approach.
Responsibilities:.
- Provide in-home trauma-informedservicesincluding cognitive behavioral and family therapy to address parent/child issues; individual and couples therapy; parenting skills and child development training, development and monitoring of behavioral plans in the home and at school; and skill-building services including anger management, stress management, problem solving, and coping skills
- Provide parent education with parents/ legal guardians enrolled in Parent Education services and ensure the coordination of virtual and in-person parent education classes of various age ranges, around the clients’ schedules
- Provide home and community-based consultation/ intervention with identified parents/ legal guardians to reinforce core concepts of the evidence-based curriculum and help ensure parental comprehension and integration of the concepts
- Provide support services including transportation, budgeting, housing and household management, case planning, on-call crisis support, and school consultations
- For children who are in placement, work with parents and treatment team to discharge children to their permanency goal as quickly and safely possible and/ or to assist families with meeting needs at a lower level of care

Operations: Monitors and manages inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Executes special cleaning tasks as requested, beyond routine daily cleaning duties. Stays informed about standards for the use, handling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals. Supports the work request system's administrative functions related to cleaning tasks.
Administration: Processes monthly requests for cleaning supplies. Approves bi-weekly time sheets for all applicable custodians. Attends seminars and other courses of study designed to improve job performance. Complies with departmental and college policies and procedures. Schedules all vacation and absence time off for their team. Schedules appropriate staffing for major events such as ReUnion, Commencement, Trustees, etc.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of three years of custodial experience. A minimum of three years of supervisory experience within a custodial environment is preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
Thorough knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper handling, and disposal procedures.
Must have a valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job Summary | The NORDTECH Hub has a collection of distributed tooling and process capabilities provided by NORDTECH prototyping and core facilities. As the Facility Coordinator for the NORDTECH Hub, you coordinate facility activities within the NORDTECH community, and develop and maintain detailed knowledge of all capabilities at the prototyping and core facility sites in order to serve as a Hub subject matter expert. Position Purpose: Evaluates, appraises, describes, and preserves the College’s records and archives, including institutional records. The Records Management Librarian will manage and implement policies and procedures to ensure a standard, professional approach in preparing archival collections for research use and preservation storage. Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.

Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $69,000.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Special Education Teacher
**Sign On Bonus $5,000** (paid in 2 parts 1/2 at 30 days and 1/2 at a year)
As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement classroom instructional plans for students and support students success in academic and behavioral goals. You will report to the Assistant Principle and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations about our school and students.
- Develop and implement a classroom instructional plan based on a students IEP and grade and subject area curricula; work with content area teachers to ensure that their lessons are differentiated as to meet the needs of all students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for all students on your caseload. Ensure that accommodations and modifications are provided. Provide specially designed instruction and monitor student progress toward academic and behavioral goals. Complete progress reports and IEP updates, and participate in CSE meetings as scheduled.
- Coordinate the creation of special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities; create and modify materials to match student abilities.
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of single and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom; oversee the collecting of behavior data; assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's Degree preferred) or subject area, and ability to work with students who demonstrate serious emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21. General education certification with enrollment in a program that leads to special education certification may be considered.

Job Summary | As the Workforce Development Coordinator for the NORDTECH Hub, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing workforce development activities within the NORDTECH community and the broader Capital and Upstate New York regions. Your role will involve working with NORDTECH members from industry, academia, and government. You will be the primary point of contact for universities, semiconductor manufacturing companies, government agencies, research laboratories, and other industry partners, and will be collaborating to develop strategic plans and best practices for securing additional external funding for education and workforce development initiatives. In this position, you will work closely with the NORDTECH leadership team and the workforce advisory committee to ensure program objectives and key performance indicators are met. You will also collaborate with Hub partners to foster diversity and inclusion within NORDTECH workforce development programs, aiming to create a more diverse workforce. This role offers opportunities to travel to NORDTECH member locations and Microelectronics Commons program events to participate in workforce development activities, attend events, and build relationships. |
