Job Summary | The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative support for Associate Vice President Public Safety & Emergency Management and oversees the day to day operations for the Department of Public Safety. Representative Job Duties | Some of the duties for this position include: Lead regular meetings with individual fundraisers to review prospect data, identify opportunities to advance cultivation, assess performance on overall goals, and progress within individual prospect portfolios. Guide individual fundraisers and development staff by providing recommendations for potential major donors for cultivation and solicitation. Analyze data to help drive prospect discovery and prioritize the top prospective donors for qualification by development staff. Create lists on an ad-hoc basis as requested by prospect development team members or fundraising partner to support fundraising initiatives by incorporating the use of database segmentation analysis, external resources, electronic screenings, and peer-review/focus group results. Director of Equal Opportunity and Title IX Coordinator
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, full-time
Supervisor: Vice President and Chief of Staff
Position Purpose: Under general direction by the Vice President and Chief of Staff, Office of the President, works collaboratively with various departments, including Student Affairs, Human Resources, Academic Affairs, Campus Safety and the Chief Diversity Officer to ensure the College’s adherence to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Amendments to the Clery Act, New York State Education Law Article 129-B, and other federal and state laws governing gender-based misconduct, discrimination, harassment and equal opportunity. Plays a pivotal role in fostering and securing a nurturing environment conducive to academic and personal growth of all College community members.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Compliance: Facilitates compliance with all procedures, requirements and timeframes outlined in the College’s Title IX Policy, Gender-based Misconduct Policy, and the Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation in Employment. Leads an effort to review and revise policies in response to changes in governing laws, regulations, and guidance. Reviews and compiles reports in compliance with federal and state law and to identify and address any patterns or systemic problems of reports of harassment and misconduct within the College community. Completes annual assessment report of progress to goals.
- Process Oversight: Oversees and coordinates investigations, responses, and resolutions to complaints under the Title IX Policy, the Gender-based Misconduct Policy, and the Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation in Employment. Assures that investigation and resolution processes are conducted in a fair, timely, impartial, respectful, and thorough manner.
- Collaboration & Partnership: Collaborates with colleagues in Student Affairs and Human Resources to identify topics, design and deliver student and employee training including compliance content training (e.g. NCAA Title IX requirements, new student orientation requirements, student training pursuant to New York Education Law Article 129-B, etc.). Coordinates with local organizations and service providers to ensure our community members have access to confidential resources. Manages partnerships with other external agencies with which the College has a partnership in executing its responsibilities under Title IX and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Supervision: Selects, trains, assigns and oversees designated roles including Deputy Title IX Coordinators, investigators, adjudication panel members, appellate panel members and advisors; ensures all are adequately trained in compliance with federal and New York State law.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in a related field such as human resources, law, social justice, higher education administration or a relevant discipline and/or a Juris Doctorate, and a minimum of three years of experience in equal opportunity compliance, Title IX administration, or a related field, preferably in a higher education or nonprofit organizational setting.
- Extensive experience working on compliance with Title IX, Title VII, ADA, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Section 504 and related regulatory requirements.
- Certification and/or training as required by federal and New York State law to serve in the position, or ability to obtain such certification and training prior to commencement of employment.
- Demonstrated expertise in federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to equal opportunity, affirmative action, discrimination and harassment, including comprehensive knowledge of Title VII, Title IX, the Clery Act, New York State Education Law Article 129-B or similar state laws, and related guidance from the United States Department of Education and applicable state authorities.

- Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity towards experiences and expressions of trauma caused by sexual violence, discrimination and harassment.
- Strong presentation skills with an emphasis on education and training for a variety of constituencies.

Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $115,000.00 - $123,000.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist serves as the primary point of contact in the Office of the President for visitors and callers and is responsible for ensuring that all parties receive prompt, professional and courteous attention when contacting the President’s Office. The Administrative Specialist may independently respond to inquiries, assist the visitor/caller on appropriate next steps, or direct to the appropriate person or department. About EMPAC | Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center “The concert hall of the 21st century has arrived. But in addition, the huge building, laid out on a hillside, houses a 400-seat theater with comparable versatility; two black-box studios, one geared more toward sound, the other toward sight; and space for rehearsals and other uses. And for their electronic and data needs, all these components have access to one of the world’s biggest supercomputers.” The New York Times (10/08/2008) At the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Institute), the arts, sciences, and technology meet under one roof in four exceptional venues. This incredible 220,000 square foot building, designed by London-based Grimshaw Architects, opened in 2008 and is an unmatched model of acoustics, infrastructure, and architectural engineering with state-of-the-art performing arts infrastructure and architectural engineering. EMPAC’s concert hall features 1,165 seats with the ability to sculpt the acoustical soundscape for musical performances and equipment for screens, projections, and staging elements. The Goodman Studio/Theater and Studio 2 are versatile spaces that can be used to create immersive experiences utilizing both projection and sound technology. EMPAC’s theater features computer-controlled rigging, a sixty-foot fly tower, and advanced recording audio and video recording technology. Beyond the four core venues, EMPAC houses residency studios, research offices, green room, soloists/conductor suites, changing rooms, and the main lobby level, as well as café and mezzanine levels, which are often used by students as studying and meeting spaces. Job Summary | The Executive Director of EMPAC will guide and deliver on its mission and vision as a global center at the intersection of the arts, science, and technology. The Executive Director will maintain a presence both on and off campus by actively participating in the community and establishing international visibility at relevant conferences and other events that increase exposure and access to artists that could curate, produce, or be presented by EMPAC. These activities are focused on preserving an integrated interdisciplinary pedagogical approach to research, programs, and campus events that inspire active participation by faculty and students in and attendance at EMPAC. The Executive Director will partner with each of the School Deans and Institute Administration to coordinate student learning outcomes, activating EMPAC as a hub for student learning on campus. They will oversee, inspire, and collaborate with a dedicated staff while investing in them and securing the resources that ensure EMPAC remains at the forefront of technological advancements. In collaboration with Institute Advancement and the President, the Executive Director will establish and maintain a portfolio of donor relationships that support the capital and operating needs of EMPAC, including its facilities, programs, and research. Additionally, the Executive Director will spearhead plans with the Office of Community Engagement and Communications to engage with local and regional organizations, as well as too raise the unique profiles of both EMPAC and the Institute in the region and on national and international levels. EMPAC’s core annual operating budget in fiscal 2024 is $4.6 million with additional expenses embedded in the Institute’s operational structure, and it has approximately 40 full-time staff. The current direct reports to the EMPAC Executive Director include Associate Director (Arts), Associate Director (Research), Director (Stage Technologies), Lead Audio Engineer, Senior Business Administrator, Senior Systems Administrator, Manager (Communications & Grants), Manager (Design Communications), and Manager (Administrative Operations). |
Qualifications | Qualifications The successful candidate will have a minimum of a master’s degree, or equivalent experience, and 8-10 years of senior management expertise in commissioning, promoting, programming, producing, and/or presenting contemporary music, theater, dance, multi-media, or other experimental creative industry initiatives. A comprehensive understanding of associated production, capacity utilization (both venue and staff), audience development, and venue management is important. Although experience in an academic environment is helpful, those with demonstrable results in nonprofit or corporate structures are welcome to pursue this unique opportunity. Exceptional relationship management, donor cultivation, and creative industries expertise with leading producers and artists at the national and international level is preferred. The capacity to work flexible hours on evenings and weekends is required in best serving the needs of numerous stakeholders. Job Summary | The Director of Real Estate directs all activities associated with land management/leases; real estate revenue activities; building and land acquisition/sales; building and land appraisals; all Rensselaer property-related tax payments; Rensselaer tax exemption requirements; and special activities, that include leases and subleases of external facilities, fraternity/sorority land/building leases and finances; estate activities and community issues. Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $15.50. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for a Desktop and Mobile Computing Specialist. The Specialist plays a critical role in supporting all University desktop and mobile computing endpoints (Windows, macOS, iOS, and Linux) with expertise in Apple operating systems. The successful candidate has the knowledge and skills to provide guidance and oversight for the enterprise management of university devices, with a particular focus on macOS and iOS devices. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment in one of four University Centers in the State University of New York (SUNY) system.
The Specialist works on service and project teams in support of the University's research, teaching and learning, information security, and infrastructure services. They develop and rely on tools and processes for the enterprise management of all University workstations and devices, including the deployment of operating systems, applications, and patches, secure and reliable operations, and maintaining an accurate device inventory. As the ITS subject matter expert for Apple operating systems, they recommend standards, guidelines, and procedures to enhance and improve service delivery for the management of macOS and iOS devices on behalf of the campus community. ITS may further invest in this position by supporting professional development activities, such as earning certifications, to advance expertise in relevant areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
Specialist in Apple Operating Systems (macOS, iOS) and Endpoints
- Serve as ITS' subject matter expert in Apple operating systems and devices.
- Implement, operate, and maintain Apple OS and software distribution using appropriate enterprise management tools (i.e., Jamf).
- Employ best practices to automate the configuration and management of Apple endpoints and support MacOS across a range of versions.
- Develop and maintain tools and procedures to include and update all University-owned Apple devices in the asset inventory.
- Work with distributed IT units to promulgate and promote ITS' standardized enterprise tools, practices, and procedures for the management of Apple devices.
General Desktop and Mobile Computing Support
- Contribute to the development, testing, documentation, and operationalization of workstation, mobile device, printer, and software deployment processes, procedures, and scripts.
- Proactively test new operating system versions and features, new device drivers, and new application versions and integrate changes into deployment processes to maintain currency.
- Use enterprise management tools and develop scripts to remotely configure, support, and maintain all University desktops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Work within service teams to resolve service desk incidents and service requests in accordance with ITS' service management and project management processes and workflows.
- Serve as a point of escalation for Field Support Specialists; deploying to the field, as needed.
- Develop and maintain both customer-facing knowledgebase articles and ITS-internal documentation, taking the lead on information related to Apple and Mac endpoints.
- Consider, develop, recommend, and implement operational work and service improvements.
- Stay abreast of industry practices and tools for enterprise management of endpoints.
- Manage and operate test environments for all service offerings; conduct field tests, as warranted.
- Ensure service level agreements and operational level agreements are followed consistently.

Supervisor: Chief Information Officer
Position Purpose: Manages the Client Services and Learning Environments team, handling both personnel and financial aspects. Leads support for students, faculty, and staff by evaluating technical issues and collaborating with ITS (Information Technology Services) peers to implement effective solutions. - Event Support and Logistics: Works with the Assistant Director of Learning Environments to ensure responsive and high quality support for electronic classrooms and events being held on the Union College campus, including Zoom webinars. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration, and a minimum of 5 years of successful management experience in a service-oriented technology environment, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. The annual salary range this position is $95,000.00 - $110,000.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Work Days: Monday-Friday with occasional nights and weekends
Shift Start/End Time: Facilities positions are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m with some flexibility. Events position shifts vary between the hours of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Temp Summer Assistants - Facilities (6 positions) and Events (6 positions)
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Temporary. This is a summer position (8-10 weeks).
Work Location: This position is an on-site role.
Supervisor: Director of Special Events and Conferences or Assistant Director of Facilities - Business Manager
Position Purpose: Supports Facilities Services in preparing, planning and executing summer events and conferences at the College.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Event Support: Participates in planning meetings and/or events which includes but not limited to supporting location assignments, food orders, transportation arrangements, audio/visual orders, creation of signage and room diagrams. Attends and monitors events for summer conferences.
- Administrative Support: Manages room assignments thru scheduling software. Ensures all residence halls and other facilities are properly prepared; provides customer support where needed. Attends and monitors events for Summer conferences. Creates and assigns work orders. Manages office paperwork and files. Processes invoices.
Qualifications:
- Prior customer service or event support experience highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective computer skills and ability to use and learn new software quickly.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.), and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends based on the business need.
- The ability to foster and enhance a thriving, diverse, inclusive, and culturally vibrant community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, faculty and staff colleagues, and alumni.
- Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of faculty, students, and colleagues.
