Job Summary | The Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering (ECSE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY invites applications for multiple tenured/tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant and Associate Professor levels. The ECSE department is in a period of multi-year growth. We seek individuals with demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching, combining innovative methods and compelling applications. We welcome candidates with research interests in semiconductor technology, next-generation computing including quantum computing, networking and security, energy and power systems, and robotics and artificial intelligence. Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop and maintain a robust and externally sponsored research program, and participate in activities that strengthen the department, the School, Rensselaer, and the broader professional community. Job Summary | The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor position in Materials Science and Engineering with expertise and potential in the broad area of bulk/thin film metallic materials. Example research foci and applications include nanoelectronics device wiring, packaging and integration, energy generation (e.g., nuclear, thermoelectric, wind, solar) and storage (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors), light-weight high-strength structures, alloy design, microstructure development, additive manufacturing, and environmental degradation. We will also consider exceptional candidates from other related areas. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering or a related field. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the potential and zest to develop and maintain an internationally recognized funded research program, actively contribute to the core graduate and undergraduate teaching mission of the department and the school, and engage in department, institute, and professional service activities. The New York State Center for Future Energy Systems conducts fundamental and applied research to accelerate the development of energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies. Job Summary | The Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering (MANE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering. Applications will be considered at the Assistant or early Associate Professor levels. We welcome candidates that will bring additional dimensions to MANE’s research and teaching mission. We are especially interested in applicants working in the area of robotics. Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate the potential to carry out the following duties: develop and maintain an internationally recognized, interdisciplinary program of funded research in Mechanical Engineering, to actively contribute to the core graduate and undergraduate teaching mission of MANE, and engage in department, institute, and professional service activities. |

Job Summary | The School of Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY seeks a candidate with expertise in Architectural Lighting Design at the Assistant Professor level (on tenure-track) or Associate Professor level (with tenure) who will teach Lighting courses as part of the Graduate Lighting, Bachelor of Architecture, and Master of Architecture degree programs. To be considered as an Associate Professor with tenure, candidates must also possess an established national or international reputation and track record in the area of architectural lighting, and have a portfolio of related design, scholarly research, and/or publications in nationally recognized books, journals, and conferences. All candidates must demonstrate promise of success as an educator. |
