Job Summary | The Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Institute Advancement’s advancement operations teams. Job Summary | The Director of Real Estate directs all activities associated with land management/leases; real estate revenue activities; building and land acquisition/sales; building and land appraisals; all Rensselaer property-related tax payments; Rensselaer tax exemption requirements; and special activities, that include leases and subleases of external facilities, fraternity/sorority land/building leases and finances; estate activities and community issues. The Director is responsible for leading real estate and economic development programs to attract diverse and innovative partners to engage on properties owned by the Institution both residential and commercial, inclusive of properties at Rensselaer Technology Park (RTP). This will comprise extensive collaboration with multiple portfolios including the Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation (OSAT), Provost, Student Life, OCEC, and Finance. The Director is responsible to develop programs to attract and maintain tenant occupants of RTP and create a self-funded real estate program. Programs that cultivate community and regional relationships and foster an exchange of ideas between community leaders, industry partners, researchers and students. The Director is responsible for all fiscal management of the RTP and real estate program including operating and capital budget development and financial controls to achieve goals. |

Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Part-time. This is a ten month term position.
Supervisor: Director of Athletic Communications
Position Purpose: Assists the Athletic Communications Director and Assistant Athletic Communications Director with the promoting and publicizing of athletic events, teams, and athletes to enhance the organization's brand and engage with fans, media, and the public.
This is ten month term position. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus college housing and a residential meal allowance which includes a partial meal plan available for use when the dining halls are open during the fall, winter, and spring trimesters.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Content Creation: Creates engaging and compelling multimedia content, such as videos, graphics, and photos, to enhance storytelling and promote the organization. Produces written content for various communication channels, including websites, social media platforms, newsletters, and publications. Collaborates with designers, photographers, videographers, and other creative professionals to produce high-quality content.
- Social Media Management: Develops and implements social media strategies to increase engagement, followership, and brand awareness. Monitors social media platforms, responds to comments and messages, and manages online reputation. Analyzes social media metrics and generates reports to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Strategy: Develops and implements strategic communication plans to promote athletic events, teams, and athletes. Identifies target audiences and creates tailored messaging and content to effectively reach them. Coordinates with internal stakeholders, such as coaches, athletes, and administrators, to gather information and stories for communication purposes.
- Team Development and Innovation: Contributes ideas, input, and support to Union Athletics initiatives, decisions, communications, and other activities. Seeks out, applies, and shares knowledge of communications trends and innovations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field and experience working in a collegiate Athletic Communications and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of sports, athletics, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in digital and social media platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.

- Knowledge of NCAA Live Stats and/or Presto Stats software.

Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $15.50. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to the hourly rate, compensation includes college housing and a student meal plan.

Job Summary | The Economic and Industry Analyst will analyze and make recommendations for progress of the sustainable fashion industry, from farms and new materials to processing to brands and design, in New York State and in general (in the U.S. and worldwide). The Analyst will review and keep abreast of pertinent studies and research, and will seek information from industry data sources, carry out interviews and surveys, and analyze and interpret the information. The work is based at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as part of the Fashion Innovation Center (FIC). The Analyst will interact with FIC members and participants to learn about the industry, discuss sustainable fashion industry problems and potential solutions, consider ways to advance the industry in New York State, and document relevant information and findings in report, paper, and/or book form. Job Summary | The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor position in Materials Science and Engineering with expertise and potential in the broad area of bulk/thin film metallic materials. Example research foci and applications include nanoelectronics device wiring, packaging and integration, energy generation (e.g., nuclear, thermoelectric, wind, solar) and storage (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors), light-weight high-strength structures, alloy design, microstructure development, additive manufacturing, and environmental degradation. We will also consider exceptional candidates from other related areas. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering or a related field. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the potential and zest to develop and maintain an internationally recognized funded research program, actively contribute to the core graduate and undergraduate teaching mission of the department and the school, and engage in department, institute, and professional service activities. The New York State Center for Future Energy Systems conducts fundamental and applied research to accelerate the development of energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies. The Center for Computational Innovation and the Scientific Computation Research Center house one of the most powerful computers for AI applications - the Artificial Intelligence Multiprocessing Optimized System (AiMOS). Description of Duties (This is a brief summary of the hiring department and the duties of the role):
The Professional Development Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating training related aspects of the Public Health Infrastructure project with the NYSDOH, including assuring that the deliverables are met on time and within budget. The coordinator will also serve as a member of the Center for Public Health Education team in overall planning an organizational improvement.
Minimum Qualifications (Both measurable and soft skill requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization in a health profession, nursing, health education, public health, human services, social work, adult education, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the coordination of a public health or human services based training and professional development program
- Experience implementing a training plan or timeline.
- Experience working with a team of professionals to accomplish project-based deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
- Evidence of organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
