Job Summary | The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative support for Associate Vice President Public Safety & Emergency Management and oversees the day to day operations for the Department of Public Safety. Description
As a Greenhouse Coordinator, you will development and implementation of the botanical classroom instructional plans for students. You will report to the Transition Learning Coordinator and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject area instruction (Green house and plan based botanical) that provides students with appropriate level lessons and age experiences.
- Develop and implement instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels grades 8 -12.
- Provide leadership in the school for promoting green house and gardening activities and experiences for students. Work with teachers to encourage classroom, small group, and individual activities, projects, and events.
- Coordinate the selection, ordering, and management of materials and equipment for the greenhouse and greenhouse related activities in conjunction with the school principal.
- Collect and organize program data for grant proposals and reports and assists in writing grants.
- Assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques with appropriate; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.
- Represent the greenhouse and gardens at relevant conferences, community events andnetworking opportunities. Conduct workshops, tastings, classroom activities and garden clubs.
- Manage and coordinate the safety and well-being of students through the use of established classroom and schoolwide processes and procedures; supervise classroom staff in implementing these with their work with students throughout the building.
- Follow school and agency procedures and policies for reporting incidents. This includes behavior incident reports (IR) and incidents such as child/sexual abuse, substance abuse, harassment, bullying, and violence.
- Establish relationships with parents and family members to create a partnership around student treatment, student behavior, and academic progress.
- Participate in classroom grade level, and behavior/treatment meetings as well as professional training and development sessions (e.g. TCI, CPR, emergency procedures and other agency requirements.
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
- Facilitate partnership between the greenhouse activities and gardens through home and school education programs by coordinating community workshops, recruiting home garden volunteers.
- Work with other teachers, clinicians, administrators, medical staff and other school staff to provide integrated support, assistance, and treatment to students.
- Assist with supervision of school-to-work program activities as needed.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or other related field with experience with greenhouse operation.
- Prefer experience teaching in a greenhouse environment.

Description of Duties (This is a brief summary of the hiring department and the duties of the role):
The Professional Development Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating training related aspects of the Public Health Infrastructure project with the NYSDOH, including assuring that the deliverables are met on time and within budget. The coordinator will also serve as a member of the Center for Public Health Education team in overall planning an organizational improvement.
Minimum Qualifications (Both measurable and soft skill requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization in a health profession, nursing, health education, public health, human services, social work, adult education, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the coordination of a public health or human services based training and professional development program
- Experience implementing a training plan or timeline.

Job Summary | The Sr. Major Gift Officer (MGO) will serve as the Senior Regional Director of Development for the Southwest Region of the United States and will be responsible for developing a regular cadence of strategic opportunities focused on engaging existing and prospective major donors with the end goal of qualifying, soliciting, and closing major gifts. This role will serve as the primary strategist and staff person for the Texas Triangle Executive Council. Job Summary | The Technology Licensing Analyst in the Office of Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing (IPTL) plays a crucial role in the transfer of cutting-edge intellectual property (IP) from Rensselaer to the marketplace. Collaborating closely with the IP Manager and Licensing Associate, the Technology Licensing Analyst will be responsible for licensing and marketing IP, engaging with key stakeholders including researchers and startups, and managing the IP portfolio, including iEdison compliance. |
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., law, business, science, engineering) Two (2) or more years in experience in technology transfer, patent law, or related areas Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered. |
Preferred Qualifications | Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., law, business, science, engineering) |

Starting Salary/Rate | Expected hiring range: $60,000 - $75,000 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting. |
