Job Summary | The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative support for Associate Vice President Public Safety & Emergency Management and oversees the day to day operations for the Department of Public Safety. Job Summary | The Assistant Director (AD) of Student Activities is responsible for planning, facilitating and assisting in the coordination of student club programs on campus. The incumbent will develop programs working with clubs and other campus departments focusing on diversity and inclusion, community involvement/engagement, student leadership and operations as an advocate for student clubs. The AD will work with the staff to develop opportunities for servant leadership growth and development. The AD will work in collaboration with Union/Mueller Center staff, campus colleagues, and student clubs to oversee the operation of the Clubhouse Pub under the guidance of the Director and Associate Director of Student Activities. Job Summary | The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor position in Materials Science and Engineering with expertise and potential in the broad area of bulk/thin film metallic materials. Example research foci and applications include nanoelectronics device wiring, packaging and integration, energy generation (e.g., nuclear, thermoelectric, wind, solar) and storage (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors), light-weight high-strength structures, alloy design, microstructure development, additive manufacturing, and environmental degradation. We will also consider exceptional candidates from other related areas. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering or a related field. Candidates must have a PhD degree from an accredited university in Analytics, Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field, along with demonstrated evidence to produce original and innovative scholarly work with publications in premier business journals. The successful candidate will join the School either as a tenure-track assistant professor, or as an associate professor, based on teaching and research experience and success. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in our graduate and undergraduate degree programs in supply chain and business analytics, as well as provide service to the School of Management and to Rensselaer. The position requires excellence in research in the area of supply chain and analytics, effective written communication skills, and strong technical skills in areas such as analytical modeling, data management, machine learning and computation. Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and Blockchain and in topics relevant to global shifts in supply chains would be a plus. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with and develop research initiatives aligned both within the Lally School and with the new strategic research initiatives at Rensselaer. The School provides an intellectually stimulating and collaborative environment for inter-disciplinary scholarly contributions with support for research, teaching, and service. About the Lally School of Management at RPI: Rensselaer is ranked among the top 50 national universities and is a Carnegie I research institution. The Lally school offers undergraduate, masters, MBA and Ph.D. programs in several analytics related disciplines and the school is expecting to grow significantly in deep analytics offerings in marketing, supply chain and operations, quantitative finance, and information systems, to name a few. Job Summary | The Broadcast Engineer designs, installs, operates, maintains and repairs all types of audiovisual and broadcasting equipment and provides operational support for live events. The Broadcast Engineer also trains members of the Media Operations team on the correct use and troubleshooting of equipment. |
Minimum Qualifications | Associate degree in electronics or electronic technology along with four (4) or more years of experience in multimedia installation and repair. • Valid US Driver’s License Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered. |
Preferred Qualifications | • SBE (Society of Broadcast Engineers) and or CTS certification (Certified Technology Specialist) |
Preferred Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities | • Requires ability to read schematic diagrams and troubleshoot problems to the component or module level. |
Shift | Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required |
Travel | Local travel between campus locations only |
Driving | Driving a Rensselaer vehicle for non-passenger use |
