Description
As an Early Head Start Teacher Aide-substitute , you will work with Teachers in the management of Early Head Start classrooms by providing quality infant-toddler care in accordance with Agency philosophy, program performance standards and curriculum guidelines. You will report to an Early Head Start Enrollment Specialist & Supervising Teacher and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Use daily routines and observations to meet the strengths and needs of children.
- Work as a team member to facilitate the programs curriculum, procedures and philosophy.
- Help establish a safe environment and a positive emotional tone that is supportive of the individual childs feelings by interacting with them in a supportive way.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere to encourage and facilitate ongoing parent participation and involvement.
- Participate in staff training according to program staff training plan and policies.
- Report any suspected injuries immediately to classroom staff.
- Interact positively with and provide choices to children throughout the day.
- Assist in classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily.
- Assist children in safely exiting from Center during fire drills and any hazardous situations.
- Adhere to agency and program standards regarding child and families confidentiality and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
Requirements and Education:
- High school diploma
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill with infants and toddlers preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more.

Job Summary | The International Exchange Specialist provides immigration advising and assistance for all J-1 visa holding visiting scholars and their dependents. The Specialist assists the Director with institutional compliance as related to the Exchange Visitors; including, reporting and monitoring data in the Student and Immigration Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and in Terra Dotta software. The Specialist is the point person for academic departments requesting visiting scholars and export control, in order to facilitate and streamline the processes for hosting international scholars. Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist serves as the primary point of contact in the Office of the President for visitors and callers and is responsible for ensuring that all parties receive prompt, professional and courteous attention when contacting the President’s Office. The Administrative Specialist may independently respond to inquiries, assist the visitor/caller on appropriate next steps, or direct to the appropriate person or department. In addition, the Specialist acts as the Building Coordinator for the Troy Building; is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the offices on the 3rd and 4th floors designated to the President; ensures that office supplies and equipment are inventoried and maintained; and ensures that electronic and paper records are filed and/or destroyed as appropriate. Additionally, the Administrative Specialist performs a full range of secretarial and administrative duties supporting the President’s staff. Job Summary | The Operations Specialist provides operational support for, oversees the day-to-day operations of, and serves as the first point of contact for the office of International Services for Students and Scholars (ISSS), and provides secondary support to the Office of International Programs (OIP). Qualifications | Postdoctoral Research Associate positions require that the candidate have finished all requirements for their PhD at the beginning of their appointment. Additional opportunities as a Research Associate or Research Scientist exist for those with a relevant advanced degree, publication record, and/or significant additional years of paid professional experience in a related position. Individuals who possess these qualifications and who have the potential to, or a demonstrated track record of being able to build collaborative external partnerships are especially desirable. Positions on the Research Specialist track require a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. For research support positions, candidates must possess an associate's degree or relevant combination of experience, education and training. | |
