Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist serves as the primary point of contact in the Office of the President for visitors and callers and is responsible for ensuring that all parties receive prompt, professional and courteous attention when contacting the President’s Office. The Administrative Specialist may independently respond to inquiries, assist the visitor/caller on appropriate next steps, or direct to the appropriate person or department. In addition, the Specialist acts as the Building Coordinator for the Troy Building; is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the offices on the 3rd and 4th floors designated to the President; ensures that office supplies and equipment are inventoried and maintained; and ensures that electronic and paper records are filed and/or destroyed as appropriate. Additionally, the Administrative Specialist performs a full range of secretarial and administrative duties supporting the President’s staff. The position requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and customer focus that must be demonstrated and maintained. |

Job Summary | The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, is amid a planned multi-year renewal of its faculty and mission. As part of this renewal, we seek applications for the Frank and Lillian Gilbreth Endowed Chaired and Tenured Full Professorship in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer. Building on the department’s impressive history and tradition, we seek faculty who are uncovering knowledge and creating solutions to important societal problems, collaborating across disciplines, and integrating their innovations into classrooms. Job Summary | The Economic and Industry Analyst will analyze and make recommendations for progress of the sustainable fashion industry, from farms and new materials to processing to brands and design, in New York State and in general (in the U.S. and worldwide). The Analyst will review and keep abreast of pertinent studies and research, and will seek information from industry data sources, carry out interviews and surveys, and analyze and interpret the information. The work is based at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as part of the Fashion Innovation Center (FIC). The Analyst will interact with FIC members and participants to learn about the industry, discuss sustainable fashion industry problems and potential solutions, consider ways to advance the industry in New York State, and document relevant information and findings in report, paper, and/or book form. The Analyst will also provide suggestions where relevant to innovative project participants in the FIC’s accelerator. The Analyst will work closely with the Center Director and other FIC members. |

As a Science Teacher, you will develop and implement Science classroom instructional plans for students. You will provide subject area instruction (Science) that follow the NYS K-12 Science Curricula and prepare students for exit examinations and statewide assessments. You will report to the Assistant principal and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement science instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels, and at the high school level develop, teach, and assess laboratory experiences for Earth Science, Living Environment, and/or Environmental Science.
- Develop and implement classroom instructional plans with the Special Education Teachers that integrates the student's IEP goals and objectives, learning styles, and accommodations and modifications that are needed.
- Work with the Special Education Teachers on individual and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom.
- Use the classroom PBIS universal plan and Tier 2 and 3 strategies for selected students.
- Coordinate the safety and well-being of students through the use of established classroom and schoolwide processes and procedures; supervise classroom staff in implementing these with their work with students throughout the building.
- Follow school and agency procedures and policies for reporting incidents. This includes behavior incident reports (IR) and incidents such as child/sexual abuse, substance abuse, harassment, bullying, and violence.
- Establish relationships with parents and family members to create a partnership around student treatment, student behavior, and academic progress.
- Participate in classroom grade level, and behavior/treatment meetings and professional training and development sessions (e.g. TCI, CPR, emergency procedures and other agency requirements).
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
- Provide leadership to assigned teacher assistants in the various clerical and non-instructional duties for your classroom.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or subject area (Master's Degree preferred), and the ability to work with students who demonstrate serous emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21.
- A degree in science with enrollment in a program that leads to a teaching certification may be considered.

Description
Special Education Teacher
**Sign On Bonus $5,000** (paid in 2 parts 1/2 at 30 days and1/2 at a year)
As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement classroom instructional plans for students and support students success in academic and behavioral goals. You will report to the Assistant Principal and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations about our school and students.
- Develop and implement a classroom instructional plan based on a students IEP and grade and subject area curricula; work with content area teachers to ensure that their lessons are differentiated as to meet the needs of all students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for all students on your caseload. Ensure that accommodations and modifications are provided. Provide specially designed instruction and monitor student progress toward academic and behavioral goals. Complete progress reports and IEP updates, and participate in CSE meetings as scheduled.
- Coordinate the creation of special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities; create and modify materials to match student abilities.
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of single and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom; oversee the collecting of behavior data; assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's Degree preferred) or subject area, and ability to work with students who demonstrate serious emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21. General education certification with enrollment in a program that leads to special education certification may be considered.
- Requires that you acquire a NYS certification in Special Education or appropriate subject area, or enrollment in a program that leads to NYS teacher certification within one year of hire

POSITION OVERVIEW
School Based Clinician
The School Based Clinician is responsible for providing clinical services to youth and their families according to program and regulatory guidelines, ensuring that all services are strengths-based, individualized, and comprehensive according to need.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide clinical services to youth and their families as assigned.
- Participate in the integrated service planning process for all youths enrolled.
- Ensure all service plans are strengths-based, individualized, and comprehensive according to need.
- Monitor the effectiveness of integrated service plans and review.
- Ensure all service are coordinated with other service providers.
- Access supports in the School or in the community as indicated.
- Assist families as needed in accessing assessments and recommendations for psychotropic medication.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a Masters degree, MSW or equivalent.
- Experience, training, or education commensurate with working with children with serious and persistent emotional disturbance is desired.
- Experience with working in a school environment is preferred.
- Must be licensed prior to starting, or have an active limited permit. LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-R preferred.
- Required to pass licensing exam within six months of employment if working with a limited permit.
- Drivers license is required.
