Position Overview: The Greenhouse Operator will be responsible for managing the daily operations within Agbotic’s advanced greenhouse facilities. This role involves monitoring and maintaining optimal environmental conditions, operating and maintaining automated farming equipment, and ensuring high standards of plant health and yield. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for sustainable agriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
Environmental Control:
Monitor and adjust environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, light levels, soil moisture) to meet target conditions.
Conduct regular checks on greenhouse systems, including ventilation, heating, cooling, and lighting.
Maintain logs of environmental data and report any deviations from target conditions.
Operation of Robotic Gantry:
Operate the robotic gantry and its associated tools for planting, nurturing, and harvesting crops.
Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on the gantry system to ensure efficient operation.
Calibrate and adjust tools for precision farming tasks such as seeding, watering, and harvesting.
Plant and Soil Management:
Monitor plant health and growth, identifying and addressing any issues such as pests or diseases.
Conduct soil sampling and testing to ensure optimal soil chemistry for different crops.
Apply organic nutrients and treatments as needed, following approved protocols.
Quality Control and Safety:
Ensure all processes meet Agbotic’s high standards for organic farming and food safety.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of greenhouse infrastructure and equipment.
Data Collection and Analysis:
Collect and record data on crop yields, environmental conditions, and equipment performance.
Utilize data analytics tools to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with the data analysis team to implement process improvements based on findings.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is a plus.
Experience working in a greenhouse or similar agricultural environment preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with automated farming equipment and control systems.
Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with data collection and analysis tools.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
Working Conditions:

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in a similar industry.
Proven experience in managing financial operations and leading diverse teams.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of financial management, reporting, and compliance.
